Trading 5 for 7+22 to pass on Michkov is the equivalent of going to a bar and seeing a hot chick that keeps looking at you, but instead of going up to talk to her, you get scared of being rejected and then your douchey fboy friend goes up to her and they leave the bar in 10 minutes to go back to her place while you order another outrageously expensive drink with a mandatory 30% tip option telling yourself you're unlucky.

I remember many here who were questionning the Petry trade last year, some even calling it garbage. One year later, here we are.

Let that be a caution for those who are trashing the Newhook acquisition. Let's see how it plays out. He wasn't my favorite trade target either, but there is upside and we'll see how he does after one season with us.

Anyway, back to the Michkov rah rah rah.
I trashed it because I wanted futures. Matheson just provided a stop gap to prevent Bedard from coming in. Its a good trade on asset but a bad one on team management.

He did that because they didn't put him on a certain telecast. He was being a bitch about things. That ruined the draft for most fans and I hope it never happens again.
That’s post Twitter Bobby Mac. He’s a sad man. Then Rogers taking over put him over the edge.

Or is it avoiding a mysterious hot chick but instead going home with 2 avg chicks?

What your friend does not know is that she a "lady boy" and that in the end you're the lucky one....

How about Sakic?

Fleeces the Habs out of two picks and a middle prospect, then turns around and uses the lesser of the two picks (37th) to grab Ross Colton from Tampa. I would much rather have Colton at that price, who is well over 50% on draws and brings a physical element, over Newhook.
our bottom 6 is already full tho
