Reality: Slafkovsky and Reinbacher

What do the Caps have that would make us even begin to consider trading down with them? 40th pick isn’t even close to enough. There’s no fit with McMichael or Lapierre, especially now with the Newhook acquisition. I don’t see how this could work unless the Caps trade for another pick in the top 15 or give up picks in next year’s draft.

If they do, must be next year's pick, or some other prospect.

It can also mean they're as interested in other targets as they are Michkov and if another team is willing to give them more assets, all while they can still select one of their targets, it's something they consider.

I do. I would still take Wright or Cooley, but I'm happy with Slaf. He has an original profile and he could turn into a monster player. he also could turn into a bottom 6 winger.

I know but I know this team, they’re crappy scouting staff and Molson. I don’t trust them at the draft one but. They drafted Hutson which I was surprised but I think most of us were clamouring for Kulich and they went Mesar. Still early but I don’t trust them
