What if Meier is forcing his way to Vegas and that’s why they’re involved?
I mean sure it's possible but I'd doubt it.

For Timo, would this be fair or very far off?
- 1st (2023)
- 2nd (2023)
- Holtz
I dont think Timo with his current 10m QO is worth 3 1sts (e.g. 2023 1st, Holtz and Muk).
I would never cuck myself by handing the Rangers or Flyers my best player. Have some dignity. The loser move is being scared of keeping a guy in division and taking a less return to send him elsewhere. If Vegas does somehow have the best deal then you trade him to Vegas.

The paranoia on here is through the roof.
There was basically a 0% chance of Mercer moving as it was, there's a -100% chance he moves if we're talking Timo without an extension.Sounds to me that SJ, wants Mercer. That’s a big no for me. Not sure about anyone else?

I think that 2nd would have to be something better.
Even with the “Western Conference tax” I can’t see a realistic offer from Vegas that beats ours.
At some point, you have to be.Since when has Vegas EVER been realistic apart from their league entry draft?

What a loser move it would be to keep him in the division

I could see Vegas being willing to move a roster player instead of propsects/picks and maybe Grier is considering that alternative package. Something around Nicolas Roy?
To a degree sure...but people are trying to figure out (besides the obvious) why the f*** it's coming down to us and VEGAS of all teams, and if we're missing anything besides the whole 'Vegas being Vegas' meme. The paranoia on here is through the roof.
26 big right shot center, signed for 3m x 4.5 years. Just it's vegas's MO to be willing to move any and all roster players for a big name upgrade and I couldn't really find anyone conceivably interesting to Grier that Vegas would be interested in moving.A 26 year old producing under half a PPG?

Except how much lesser are we talking...subjective lesser or actual OMG lesser? If it's the difference between getting an additional 2nd rounder on top of the main package as opposed to a 3rd rounder, no I'm not handing a rival a great rental they can extend just for the sake of the 'best deal' on that. If we're talking an additional first-rounder or an additional top prospect, then that's another story. You're cucking yourself by taking a lesser return.
