I could see scenario where by March, Lekkerimaki, Wilander and Raty are all up in playing in Vancouver.

And there's a chance all three of these rookies would be better than anything they could acquire at the TDL, for which you'd have to dramatically 'overpay'.

Say what you will about the rest of his game - that shot is world class. His ability to cleanly beat goaltenders from 20 feet out is insane.

6 points in 6 games is very impressive, i think its very important that patience is virtue in this case. Let him develop at least half a year before calling him up would be ideal.

Watching the NHL highlights tonight, there are so few players in the best league in the world who can shoot the puck like Lekkerimaki.

It's ridiculous how much mustard he gets off his shot and how little backswing he uses on the one-timer. It just explodes off his stick. Sometimes his best release comes while he looks to be skating backwards. He's forcing AHL goalies to make great saves from 30-feet out.

He's a goal-scorer, pure and simple. And kids like that are worth their weight in gold.

The shot is great, the ability to get it off with that much velocity and accuracy while floating backwards into a pocket to find space is what separates him. Reminds of another one of our Swedes in his rookie season.
