Why? There wouldn’t ever be a spot for him in the top six unless Bratt went bye byeIt would honestly be a home run if they kept holtz in this deal

Thought someone might know something about who he is, the official Devils page follows him. Apologies.

That's where I'm at too. I'd like to keep Holtz, cause I still see the potential, but at some point, there's gonna be a logjam. Why? There wouldn’t ever be a spot for him in the top six unless Bratt went bye bye
NRD is absolutely not 95% fake.I'm not a mod, so don't do anything on my account, and I know we're all desperate for information, but this is how these Twitter idiots get clicks and followers is by speculating on the same bullshit we're all seeing. I've made my piece with fighting against NHLRumorsDaily and 4th period, which are also 95% fake, but who knows why any team account follows anyone.
Didn't he get 19 games this season, in which he was the biggest Devils' 5v5 liability on the ice?I mean there should be a spot but they hate him so he’d never get in
I’m running under the assumption that zetterlund is gone (I could be wrong) but losing zetterlund and holtz would be a sizeable hit to the forward poolWhy? There wouldn’t ever be a spot for him in the top six unless Bratt went bye bye

Do you know what's his source? I follow him and I'll agree he's often correct. Always wondered his source was.NRD is absolutely not 95% fake.

Can use Hotlz in a different trade then . He is still a very good piece to have even if we dint have a roster spot for him .Why? There wouldn’t ever be a spot for him in the top six unless Bratt went bye bye
The longer we keep him without him having any real success in the NHL, the more his value dissipates. Can use Hotlz in a different trade then . He is still a very good piece to have even if we dint have a roster spot for him .
I think that Boqvist leaves a lot to be desired but both him and McLeod have done ten times more to warrant the playing time, Holtz didn't. If you're saying that NHL prospects should get ice time (especially on the top lines) for free, then I disagree with that, especially when we're no longer in the purely development phase. Giving Holtz ice time for free, while he's playing like that, would send an awful message to the rest of the team.Yes because getting tossed in and out of the lineup playing with Boqvist and McLeod as his centers was certainly putting him in a spot where he could work out.
All good, I knew there were a few people around the team who might know some things from time to time, so I was just looking if someone knew anything about him here. Apologies for everything, won't happen again. Please don't post anything that has like ten followers 'to ask' if something's a viable source at least unless they're followed by multiple reputable accounts, just posting it gives it legitimacy. Anyone who's a fan can be followed by a team account.
Use him on a very good 3rd line option. Same with Shara if there is no room for Shara ina spot that utilizes him correctly. We can always use Holtz and or Shara and get a good young high value contract player for our bottom 6 and add another pick along with it possiblyThe longer we keep him without him having any real success in the NHL, the more his value dissipates.
How many teams, in the midst of a cup push, put unproven rookies in the top 6?
Did he legit get 2 straight games in top 6 since the start of his NHL career? Don't think that's happened once. They didn’t give him a chance to start the year either. Has him there all camp only to drop him for game 1. He responds by playing a really good game. They respond by playing him 9 minutes and under 6 the following 2 games. He was never given a chance

While I think he was jerked around too much (same with Zetterlund), top 6 ice time is earned. Holtz doesn't get to play because he hasn't been effective enough in a bottom 6 role to stick and he's not as good in the top 6 as anyone we currently have there. They didn’t give him a chance to start the year either. I agree, but Dregger seemed pretty confident something would happen in the next 24 hours. Let's see!34 pages in one day is pretty crazy when nothing has really happened. I suspect if we want to make this move we'll do it before our road trip on Wednesday, but you know that requires both teams to agree. Making trades when we're in Anaheim on Friday is not ideal for playing that game.
