Beck plays with Greene and Bankier though.

And Hockey Canada doen't seem to be giving secondary assists. There are no secondary assists on the stats sheets in 8 goals scored.
Ya, that's part of the reason why you'd hate to be the guy making the cuts here. Beck defeinitely has to be part of the equation on those goals. For all we know, he caused a critical turnover and set Bankier and Green on their way.

Are you guys basing yourself on goals scored in 2 games ? It should never come to that. So, 2 games and this eliminates Beck ? You can’t build a team that way
It's a combination of things, but if you are going to ignore these two games, then why bother having them? There is something to be said for players who respond when the pressure is ratcheting up.

Not saying anything about Beck, who is centering Green and Bankier, and is probably showing very well also. Again, would be nice to be able to watch. For all we know, Bankier and Green have been awful besides scoring twice.:D

Even if he makes the team - that doesn’t mean he was a lock.

The guys that played both games were the guys fighting for spots (a.k.a they wern’t locks). Beck played both games

That's true but a few of them were almost 100% a lock. I would say that Roy and Lambos were pretty much locks IMO.

Local kids are actually Evan Nause and Riley Kidney. :)
Pretty sure he just means that he plays w/ Halifax Mooseheads.

Jordan Dumais as I said many times in the past has a very high IQ, and plays extremely well in stressful situations. He’s one of the most mature individuals you’ll ever meet, and he also never takes penalties! He doesn’t set high standards for himself and doesn’t listen to the media. He just goes out there and does his job every night. Won’t even be surprised if he doesn’t crack much of a smile if he’s on the team and wins the gold medal. He’s just that mature about his job. He was incredible in Blue Jackets training camp in Traverse City. The only thing I just hate that he looks like a 14 year old kid lmao. He will be quite the storyline if he makes the team.

Yes that was me , and I wasn’t referring to this American team but American players over the years. Players that had no business to compete for first overall but made it look like they belonged when in fact they didn’t belong. I remember mcdavid and eichel and how he made is seem close

Other players he gushed over when they had no business being gushed over. Not necessarily the American team but American players, my opinion and I stick to it. Also I don’t think he is such a good scout. My opinion

I listen to McKenzie all the rest are not in the same league , no business being on tsn
Fair enough.

TSN wants some give and take in their discussions so they may pump up a player to create interest. Steve Simmons once talked about the time he HAD to say (he said he lost a coin toss) that Phil Kessel would be better than Crosby.

Remember, it's theater and Canada vs the U.S. brings in eye balls - while Canadian Players A vs Canadian Player B - not so much.

Hearing underdog forward C. Bedard is the first cut from Team Canada’s National Junior Team
That's a shame, but he's still just 17 and will stand a much better chance coming back as an 18 year old. If he doesn't make it next year, then he can try out the year after. Remember... "It's a 19 year old's tournament!"

I know you guys have a strong roster, but it would be insane to cut a talent like Fantilli. He's not even an underager.

Here is the list of Canadian forwards I would take over Fantilli for this tournament:
Bedard

That's it. That's the list.

He pretty much dominated yesterday's game. I think that cemented his spot.

Boy, that used to be the case 100% however as you say not so much anymore. Just as the NHL has become a younger man's league so too as junior. Time was a 19 year old would have to play in the A for 4 years to get his NHL shot. Now we often see 19 year olds starting the season in the NHL and 20 year olds taking a regular shift.
