Nylander confirmed in the exit interviews that he will play in the worlds! Not sure if the medical is pending.

Järnkrok would be an upgrade, but he is also not a superstar, so I could sort-of understand that they prefer to go with the guys that are already there. I think this means we can assume Wennberg won't get an invite either. If we assume that one of the two remaining spots is for Nylander, the last spot has to be for a defencemen. Liljegren and Ekholm are out. Larsson can be available after tonight. Ekholm would not accept I think, Larsson played last year and seems to like playing for Tre Kronor. If Hallam doesn't invite Järnkrok, I doubt he would invite Liljegren.

It could also have been no one at all, which would have been way worse.
According to Toronto fans on the Toronto board Willy is already with the swedish team.

Doubt he's already with the team, would require some serious stealth to avoid the media. But imagine if he actually is and Alex gets yet another question about him and he just goes "you didn't notice him? He's literally standing next to us."
I thought the same thing when he said Willy was with the team. I have no idea how they would go about hiding him.
I like the new lines better, but first line needs to step up and produce. I like Berggren - Lindberg - Zetterlund. Berggren is the play driver, Lindberg can score and is defensively responsible, Zetterlund can win the battle for loose pucks.

No idea, I’ve given up waiting for the news now. I suppose SIF will wan’t to be the first to confirm the news if they are positive and god knows they are not doing that at 2 am.

According to Aftonbladet, Maple Leafs have now cleared Willy for the Worlds. All that remains is the federation doing the insurance paper work before he can be officially adderad to the roster
Injuries and blood clots will do that. His legs and the offense is gone, though he was always incredibly streaky on that part. Still a sound defensive winger.
