While all of this may be true, no one is going to feel bad about United only having $1B+ to spend over a decade because they could have had more money. I know you're only responding to others here, but there has been a lot more wrong with United's transfer record over the last decade than not having enough money.

Do the Glazers suck? Yes. Has United wasted resources that dwarf all but ~5 clubs in the world? Also yes.
Who is saying United is poor?

The actual source of that "Liverpool are gonna big 250M for Mbappe" seems to be a random agent with no apparent connections to either Mbappe or Liverpool but recently talked to the Qataris about how upset they were with Mbappe.

So yea, I'd take it with a grain of salt.

Ok? I never doubted Liverpool's interest, but what about Mbappé's interest in going there? That has been my question all along.

Why would he go there? It seems like your answer is money. Fine. That is as good a reason as any. He is 24, he can lead their retool and bring them back to CL glory.
No, that's not my answer.
There's playing in a bigger league, under a bigger spotlight and not being part of a team with dubious history and his position being taken. That's a lot of reasons.

Rumors of PSG going in for Paqueta. He changed agents I believe, might be something to it.

Imagine losing Rice and Paqueta, while keeping David Moyes.

The guy has been taking money from Qatar for YEARS, I doubt he cares about "dubious history"

Bigger league, I'll give you. Bigger spotlight? Nah. There is no bigger spotligh than Real Madrid. Position being taken, I'll give you as well.

If he wants the bigger league, he'd go for City ahead of LFC, IMO. Unless he wants to be the heart of the project. Then, yes, Liverpool could make sense.

I doubt he doesn't.
Yes, few people watch la Liga now compared to the EPL. SO yes, spotlight.
City would be probably a consideration for him if they showed interest.

Yeah he isn’t going to Liverpool. There’s no CL football lol (talk about bigger spotlight yeeash).
I'm pretty sure Liverpool games have more world views than Real CL games.
I'd like numbers on this.

Liverpool is not a bigger global brand than Real Madrid, that's nonsense.

I can buy the more eyeballs on the EPL argument, but not that one.
But it counts.
Liverpool is a huge brand and clearly the fact they're in the top league, marketed everywhere means that they're easily on Real and Barca's level.

Brozovic turns down Saudi Arabia for now wanting more money to go there so it’s still open

Couple of USNT moves: Weah going to Juventus while Pepi going to PSV, both moves should be completed within days

Teemu Pukki going to Minnesota in MLS

United is the biggest name in the epl, their best player in history walked to madrid.

The last balon dor winner for Liverpool left to madrid.

One of Chelsea’s best players in their history walked to madrid.

One of Spurs’ best players walked to madrid and became an all time great.

There’s a pattern lol madrid is the biggest club in the game how is this a discussion?

In terms of visibility, maybe. In terms of being a bigger/more valuable brand, no.

I mean, Liverpool IS a huge brand, not just on Real Madrid level.

So if being part of a big brand club is what Mbappé wants, Liverpool is certainly an option... but not a better one than Madrid.

The EPL argument, as I said, I gladly concede. The EPL has more pull than La Liga for sure. No CL has to be a drawback though.
