If they end up with Vicario/van de Ven/Tapsoba, I will begrudgingly say those are good pieces of business in positions where they were desperate. If they add Maddison to that and keep Kane, I am not sure how much better the window could go, as far as incomings go. They still have bodies they have to sell
Plus Udogie coming in from Udinese. I think he’s perfect for the EPL

I think more than 2-3 could come up with that for Mount. The issue is more where he has made it clear he wants to go. That’s also the hold up. United know they’re the only bidder. I think it’s why they’re playing hardball.

I think Madrid pay it at some point. But I think there’s some room to see how it plays out for a bit. To some extent that’s also a possibility to where they make nice at PSG and give him a bigger truck full of money

I don’t think City are the only club who would do it. But I think it’s just as likely if they wait that Macron or I dunno the ghost of Charles DeGaulle or someone gives him a vision where he should stay.

More than 2-3 teams would spend 70M€ on Mount?
Heck I can't think of a singe team that would spend it and even United (who seems to be the only very interested team) doesn't want to go over 63M.
It's the same with Real. Only one team is interested as of now, but who knows if City can't enter? I can't think of any other team besides those two though.

I think if Mount was willing to come to Liverpool, I think they’d be in the discussions. I think Newcastle would have the talks. I just think his camp has made it clear that’s where he wants to go. Those are just two in league. Obviously there’s a difference in 50-55 and some ads, and 70 plus. But I think there’s a market for it where one club ends up closer to asking price. I think United are bidding against United.

For starters, the fee for Mbappe is a joke. Madrid would be nuts to pay half of that much less 250 million. If they miss out on Mbappe they miss out on Mbappe. 250 million is way too much considering his contract situation and with their recruitment record the past few years they’ll be good without him. Mbappe isn’t the only player on the planet.

As for Valverde, I’d be move other players before him. Were I a Madridista I wouldn’t want Valverde sold at all.
It is a joke and it's mostly on anyone would would pay it, or for that matter... who could possibly pay that for a footballer? That number is just made up, market value... one man, who misses passes, flubs shots and gets injured - just like any man... be worth 500 m roughly? No man can be worth more than a team...
Reminds me of new car market value. New truck, 50k ... drive it 1 mile... uhhh no, now it's no longer worth 50k, maybe 40k

So the real cost is 40k and just 10k of hope-people-buy-at-this-price fluff....

I love transfer details

pedro-porro-39m-tottenham-transfer-27196472

"Sporting SAD reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur for the temporary transfer of player Pedro Porro, until the end of the season 2022/2023, for the sum of 5m euros," it read.

"The agreement includes the option to permanently acquire the player's sporting rights, by the amount of 40m euros, which can be exercised by Tottenham or by Sporting with effect from the 1st of July 2023 and consequent definitive assignment of the player to Tottenham.

"The value of the solidarity mechanism due to third-party clubs will be supported by approximately 95% by Tottenham."

"The costs with the intermediation services related to the aforementioned transfer amount to 427,220 euros, to which will be added the amount of 2,383,780 euros in case of transfer of the player permanently," read the statement.

"At the same time, Tottenham ceded to Sporting the absolute percentage of 15% of the rights and economic factors related to the player Marcus Edwards."

So something like 70 for Mount but Mbappe 250 is ridiculous?
I'd take one Mbappe over 5 Mount.

I never said anything about Mount. 70 million for Mount is also ridiculous, but two wrongs don’t make a right.

The issue of waiting for a free is that then you have to deal with City offering an insane contract including a ton of under the table Abu Dhabi money.

Not just City though. I think other clubs throw their hats in the ring. The problem for all the other clubs though is they aren’t Real Madrid. I think the player prioritizes Madrid and the club would make a big enough offer to sign him.

I generally agree with you here, but I would just say the bolded probably isn’t the case. I think that’s taking a negotiation stance to help them ensure they get top dollar. I also think it would be the highest fee ever, just eclipsing Neymar, and it’s intentional because of that.

Also, I think a total outlay for Mbappe at 250 million when you factor in what his wages would be is probably close to 700 million by the end of his first contract. The question then becomes do sponsorships and merchandising make up for that?

You certainly avoided saying it was ridiculous when commenting on it your previous post...
Thus I had the impression it was OK for you.

Looks like 40-year old father with his 20-year old son :)

I hope isn't/won't be nicknamed Baghdad Bob, first thing I thought of when seeing his name.
lol

It won't end up being 250M, but I totally believe it is the starting point of negociations for PSG.

Madrid has a little more leverage than PSG here... but considering we were burned last time we thought we had leverage, Perez might be a little nervous and pay a ridiculous fee. As much as I love Mbappé, I would not wait for him if I were Perez. Either the fee makes sense to Madrid or you turn around and go after Kane or another CF... or you run with what you have and hope to get Mbappé on a free... but that's very risky.
I have the feeling Flo will wait the last second of the window at midnight to submit a bid lol

Chelsea would be stupid not let him go for that amount. He is a squad player.

Kane is going to Bayern

As someone who follows Spurs Levy would sell Kane to Bayern or Madrid if that’s what Kane wants. There is no chance Levy sells Kane to anyone in the epl unless they pay double then what he’s worth
