For starters, the fee for Mbappe is a joke. Madrid would be nuts to pay half of that much less 250 million. If they miss out on Mbappe they miss out on Mbappe. 250 million is way too much considering his contract situation and with their recruitment record the past few years they’ll be good without him. Mbappe isn’t the only player on the planet.

As for Valverde, I’d be move other players before him. Were I a Madridista I wouldn’t want Valverde sold at all.
He isn't the only one. But he's the best.

Apparently they haven't walked away, just refusing to negotiate further. Up to Chelsea now.

I think the United 55 offer is pretty fair.

Havertz had two years remaining at 67.5. Mount only has one. Age already factored relative to Kovacic’s price.

They paid 100M for a rinsed hazard one year left on his contract. I think it won’t be 250 but not far off

Hazard wasn’t rinsed, and depending on what your definition of “not far off” they likely won’t unless they’re stupid.

He isn't the only one. But he's the best.

Which doesn’t change the fact that 250 million for him considering his contract situation is a ridiculous fee.

Hope this re-encourages Chelsea and Mount to sit down and hash out a contract. No reason why he should leave.

Well Chelsea will likely have to pay up in the end. Mount’s demands are probably too high, but hard to blame him with what they were playing plenty of other guys.

The main thing was that he wanted what Reece got. A year ago, that was fully legit - it’s a little less so now. I think he’ll probably come down a bit and the club will meet him there.

Over the life of the contract it might not matter, but you also have to factor in what would be likely triple or more wages.

They’re both crazy, but 250 for a player who has no real market because there’s only two or three clubs who can get him, and who has said he won’t resign (I think he would) is a tough pill to swallow. Even if it might be the market price

If they end up with Vicario/van de Ven/Tapsoba, I will begrudgingly say those are good pieces of business in positions where they were desperate. If they add Maddison to that and keep Kane, I am not sure how much better the window could go, as far as incomings go. They still have bodies they have to sell

He resigned last year, that's the thing.
And besides, how many clubs would put 70M for Mount? Hardly more than 2 or 3.
Just wondering...

Besides, as I said, it's 200M + 50M bonuses

It won't end up being 250M, but I totally believe it is the starting point of negociations for PSG.

Madrid has a little more leverage than PSG here... but considering we were burned last time we thought we had leverage, Perez might be a little nervous and pay a ridiculous fee. As much as I love Mbappé, I would not wait for him if I were Perez. Either the fee makes sense to Madrid or you turn around and go after Kane or another CF... or you run with what you have and hope to get Mbappé on a free... but that's very risky.

Yeah, I think last year is going to weigh a lot.
200M is also a way to get rid of the problem and get it done once and for all.

Still, the position problem remains. But that's Mbappe's problem.

Considering how productive he has been as a 9 in the past, I do not think it should be a problem. But, hey, who knows with these huge ego players
