the question is, what would Megalodon do?
Megalomart?

Fati to... Brighton seems to be the latest. Sounds like that is practically agreed. Just a straight loan.

Felix to Barcelona sounds close now.

It's not splitting hairs. Saying you won't play, IE refusing to play, is different than saying you want to leave. I don't care as it's Liverpool, but there's a notable difference between the two. My assumption is you don't mean what you're posting.
Shocking but hope it’s good for eveyone .

Why wouldn't they though? I'm not making an equivalence, just coming off the season he just came off, being under contract for that many more years, and a team that absolutely has the means to pay that type of fee.

Ekitike makes like 2M more than their highest paid player, which is probably part of the issue around his valuation for them.

Because the player wanted to go and they were already making a mint. Trying to squeeze every penny out of every single deal costs you more than it saves.

Palmer is a solid buy for Chelsea though, he was the best player against us in the Community Shield easily.
All of City’s attacks went through De Bruyne when they both came on. He was their best player, not Palmer. But yes, Palmer did keep up with play.

I agree and I also feel there is playing time available at Chelsea. Bench last Friday.

There’s only three positions where Chelsea have more than one cover.

CB - we have one extra (Chalobah) who’s heavily likely to go to Bayern now that Pavard has left.
LB - Cucurella potentially to United. This can likely just be covered by a combination of Maatsen, Colwill, Caicedo.
10/SS - We still have both of Gallagher and Chukwu behind Nkunku. But given that Nkunku is out until Jan/Feb and Chukwuemeka is out for another month… this will remain as the one position we carry an extra cover in at least until Jan.

Poch wanted a 22 man squad including GKs, but it’s unrealistic right now given the injuries and we see that with how bad our benches have been for a few games. They’ll go in with a 24 man squad, but one of those is out until Feb. I don’t foresee us really having an issue where we have too many available players in the short term, even if the squad is ~ 2 players heavy.

I don’t think it’s really that shocking if it all goes through. Sounds like it was in the cards for a while apart from Fati’s reluctance, but I think how the season has started for him the writing was on the wall. The only issues for me are if we’re paying part of Fati’s wage and if Felix doesn’t take a pay cut.

Like I said yesterday, despite Felix being being a square peg for a round hole with our formation, it’s not as though he hasn’t played out wide before. Also, his goal contribution numbers aren’t bad when you consider the minutes he’s had and the team he played in. And let’s not forget what this means for him. He has something I’m sure he wants to prove and he really put himself out there when he said he wants to come. If he comes and bonds with Lewandowski it could well pay off.

My biggest frustration with this whole thing is how late in the window everything happened starting with Dembele and ending with this.

My take on Gravenberch.
I have read many comments by LFC supporter being unpleased about him because he is not a proper '6' and a good replacement for Fabinho.

I get it, people assume Klopp will play a similar system than he had in previous year and that they need a direct Fabinho replacement. I think the opposite and Klopp IMO is looking for a more offensive oriented team with more movement and interchangeable positions from midfield hence why he tried Gakpo at midfield. I do not think he is looking at defensive specialist other than for killing game late on (which endo will come in play). There are no Rodri player available in the market or close to that level so Klopp will have to take on some chances on raw abilities instead of the end product. As for Gravenberch, he is incredibly talented but very raw and Klopp must believe he can help him reach another level. Let's look at Gravenberch key qualities, size (obviously), great dribbling, great passing range and ability to create chances, good shot, good crosser, average header (still raw though and IMO better than Thuram who is of similar size/profile). What he needs to work on, his heading, his tackling and his ability to stay more composed on the ball.

At LFC I expect him to play the 6 but in a different way, they will ask him to try opening the play with his dribbling and ability to move the ball effectively to the forward. His passing range is also very good and he can distribute longballs to Salah, Nunez or Diaz. He has a long career ahead of him and Klopp and staff I think are very confident they can help him reach his game to another level.

Finally, if LFC signed him last summer people would drool about his potential coming out of Ajax as the top graduate of their academy and with plenty of experience at a young age. Don't let this bad season at Bayern define him, he is still very talented and in all honesty 30M is not that much in the current market.

The argument they'd make is he'll still be worth that much in a year or two. Especially if he kept pace with Kane. And that he'd help them more this season than anyone they could bring in by tomorrow.

I think it's bad practice to keep guys who want away this badly when a legit offer has been made, but the offer also isn't crazy enough that they have to take it.
Or he could regress and be worth less.
Frankly 75M+ Ekitike is already huge overpayment

PSG isn’t even offering €70M *plus* Ekitike. They’re offering €70M plus a “special price” (lol) on Ekitike of €30M + €5M. So Frankfurt doesn’t even walk away with €70M.

PSG is playing games. They think they’re at a bazaar.

Lukaku has spent like half his career contracted to Chelsea but never actually plays for them.

I like Frankfurt's response. They've really grown after basically yo-yoing between BuLi and Buli2.
First the Cup, then the EL, they're now a legit European club, not just looking to stay up in the BuLI as their main goal every season.
