Criticize the process or fees all you want, but it would be nice if pundits wouldn't blatantly lie like this. Chelsea was linked with both way before Liverpool ever was, but that doesn't fit the narrative.
 
That might be because Chelsea is linked with everyone. They only accelerated on Lavia after Liverpool forced them to up their bid on Caicedo and refused to withdraw their bid to Brighton.

Boehly seems exactly like the type of prick to pull that stuff.
 
Think about this. Chelsea purchased 4 DM under the age of 22 in a span of 6 months for more than €300M. Was it truly necessary? It seems like Ugo will never ever have a decent chance to start for Chelsea.
Actually 5 if you also include Andrey Santos. Forgot about him. This is not team planning, it's talent hoarding.

Bold to assume they don’t sign more next summer.

I called them chattel and got shit for it, but that’s exactly what they are at Chelsea. Names on a spreadsheet. Bought, loaned, kept out of the greater talent pool for other clubs, and then sold on.

They may be just as deluded as the Chelsea supporters on this board to think they’re actually signing with the mutual goal of playing for Chelsea, I don’t know.

It’s all about the consistency of it.

If someone dramatically outperforms xG in one season, there’s a chance it’s a hot streak.

If they do it consistently, they’re a world class finisher. Kane also consistently outdoes xG.

I’m not making any comment here on Wahi, just observing on how outperforming xG can cut both ways
