I’m not sure why I expected Spurs to do some business this week.
Club isn't bringing more players in until some are out. Sounds like Lloris to Lazio is close at least.

I really hope we get to see more sales/terminations instead of loans. A lot of time is being consumed to find destinations for these players. We don't need them back. Just swallow your pride because they were bought for too much and get rid of them for near nothing.

I get that finding pleasure where you can is important, I just struggle to imagine that any fan would just dismiss league results/the possibility of winning in a way that isn't pure resignation to Bayern Munich's dominance. No one would think that way otherwise hence why it's cope.

So how do you explain fans of lower division teams?

L'équipe says their 100M number on Doku was a mistake. Indeed it was much more than anyone expected given the injury history.
Should be around 50-55 as said previously.

I know, I just can’t believe that in a week they didn’t have any incomings or outgoings after the Kane sale. It’s like they can’t do two things at once.

I think “winning at all costs” is a much more enticing concept to foreign fans than locals. And I say that as a one. Things that aren’t important to me, or at least don’t affect me, drive local fans crazy. Ticket prices, start times, tv blackouts, gimmicks, killing match day traditions. None of that stuff impacts a large part of English fanbase a bc they’ve become so global. But it absolutely sucks for people who were fans before the money flooded.
Turning your clubs into massive corporations that loses every sense of a local connection sucks. And I understand why the buli fans are saying this. It’s not that winning isn’t important - it’s that dying to win while killling everything you know isn’t worth it.

Liverpool after Theate.
Talented but inconsistent. Still all about potential.
His underlaying numbers/metrics are pretty good but he is not a guy that passed the eye test for me. Don’t think they would be bringing him to start right away (if they bring him in at all), and I think LFC needed to bring in a day one LCB this summer; but that’s probably not happening. Theate would also be LFC’s last Non-HG spot, which probably means Endo would be the only DM coming in. Which is yikes

I don't think Malo Gusto is good enough going forward and Madueke/James are so far injury prone so they really need to bring in a proper attacking player on the right side since they couldn't sign Olise. They probably could've splurged on another one too if they hadn't wasted FFP room on 20M for a wonderkid here, 18M for another wonderkid there, etc.

Cheap beer?

Germans have a superiority complex even with their football league don't question them.

Fans of lower division teams don't care if their team wins their respective league/trophies?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to deny the experience that fandom can be very gratifying even if you know your club will never have a chance to win. My point was more that this feeling of 'Oh well, I know we'll never win' so that you start focusing more on other aspects of fandom comes from that resignation that a 1st place finish will never be in the cards.

Gusto's forte is going forward. He's still learning the defensive side. One of the best crossers in the world statistically.

Barcola reminds me a bit of Mahrez but I've only watched a few clips tbh so I may be way off
Not as much of a dribbler.
Better scorer.

Bingo.

Barcola makes sense in that case, instead of a winger and ST, I'd prefer more of a goal-scoring winger that can play in the middle in an emergency. I take managers comments with a grain of salt, but Poch had some recent comments that he doesn't want to impede Broja with another pure ST.

Chelsea caring about impeding existing players? Sure.

I mean, Poch turned down Vlahovic, so that does give credibility to his comments about not wanting someone of the exact same profile as Broja. He likely wants some sort of attacker that is closer to a Nkunku profile that can play in a couple different spots and is a solid finisher or someone that they believe can have good link up ability with Jackson like Nkunku also displayed.

Oh no, not Vlahovic who is less wanted than Lukaku. What amazing discretion.
