Gaston with a number of rumours.

- Barca are back on for Foyth. This coming just after the VP of economics said they should get the green light on their economic plan next week.

- Villa are in talks with GLC.

- ADM is getting an extension from Juve. Puts the SA rumours to bed. Thankfully.

- LFC are preparing a formal offer for Alexis. Not sure if this is meant a contract or an offer to Brighton.

Emi apparently likely to leave in the summer. Spurs (no please) with the most interested. Chelsea (f*** no) and united are in on him.

We can cry together ... really hope he stays. @JPBolts

There's another playing in the BuLi who I have high hopes for.

Yeah, I figured to illustrate the point I’d just go with two on the same team. BTW, didn’t you get him in the latest window?

He wouldn't be getting any minutes there, so not sure I understand or buy those rumours.

Well he’s been rumored to leave and City is arguably the best team in the game so if he were to leave and City are indeed interested I’d imagine it’s true.

Oh absolutely, but he was rumoured to head to Chelsea due to development so I am not sure what City has when it comes to development. Amazing team? Sure, but best development? Not really.

Best development? No, but there’s some there and I think they’re improving. I just don’t get why the kid is leaving Arsenal right now all things considered.

I think teams like Real and City are the worst teams to go to for a youth player not because they are bad development, but because they will always spend and reduce the chance of youth to eventually make the first team. If Nwaneri cared about his development he would transfer to Ajax or BVB, but I am not sure he'll do that. Nonetheless, some of the stuff we've discussed is why I don't really believe a percentage of that City link.

Money. The answer is money. City is willing to pay larger wages. So is Chelsea. Neither Chelsea nor City are materially better at development or more likely to give him playing time than Arsenal.

I really don't see Emi going to Spurs or Levy wanting to spend that much on a 30y/o keeper when there are a lot of places they will need to spend on. I have no clue what Chelsea will be doing over the summer and/if they will need to clear out players to spend more money. Plus Villa have a shot at Europe next year, Chelsea don't. Man united is the one that worries me, but I'll be honest David Raya is going to be cheaper, younger, and better with the ball at feet so I don't know why they wouldn't go after him...

soon as we hired Emery, I thought we would be after him. Has signed him twice before.

Aston Villa gonna spend more than 90% of La Liga!
yes... the PL is financially already the super league & the gap will continue to widen

He witnessed Saka, ESR, and Nketiah (and to a degree Nelson/AMN) all come thru the academy and get opportunities in our first team, as well as other young players. But he's choosing money to go to City where their best academy product, Foden, can't break in as a consistent starter.

Chelsea is a mixed bag you wouldnt know their next move. I could see united the most realistic after DDG decline.

Yeahm Emery just loves GLC. Not sure how he will handle the physicality this time around but if one guy can make it work its Unai.

Yeah, but that was when we were in a down period.

The other point is that the starters at his position are also quite young themselves and aren't expected to move on any time soon.

I have not been following this guys career over the past couple of years. On a free i will definitely take him in the midfield. Any know how he has faired over the past couple of seasons?

By god that's @cgf 's music

*sigh* oh Mo. If you had asked me a year ago I would've been much more positive; as the previous couple of seasons he had been playing well for BVB and it seemed like he had finally been humbled enough to get his career back on track.

Despite what Pavel said, he still wasn't well suited to play the 6 next to Bellingham and needed to be free to push forward himself to make the most of his talents...but he was a very good 8 for them...this season, OTOH, has been very blah for him.

With Brandt's resurgence, they've needed a defensive 6 as their third midfielder more than ever and they bought Ozcan for that role...though it's been Can playing the best football of his life, who has made that spot his own as the campain has worn on.

As always with Mo, any move will depend on his attitude and buy-in. If he's motivated to prove himself & feels believed-in he still has the talent to be a fantastic 8. If he's feeling complacent and lazy again, then he'll just be there to cash a check.

It's going to destroy him when Dahoud scores the winner in the Brighton v Union CL Finals.

Seeing Mo pot a decisive own-goal on a stage like that will be brutal, but I'll be too euphoric about our CL-win to feel too badly in the moment ;-)

Alternate reality LFC midfield with Dahoud, Lallana and Milner

TBF Mo probably would've worked out better than Keita, even if Klopp couldn't have stopped him from getting complacent after his big move

Dahoud is a legend.
FTFY...

...at least I really was abnormally high on Mo & Brandt

It's when you guys try to shit-talk me for kids that I was actually more critical of than the consensus when they were coming up...like Draxler, Wirtz, and Havertz...that it can get annoying lol
