They all suck but Kounde anyway
Well to be fair France depth at CB is insane.
Konate, Saliba, Varane, Kounde, Fofana, Upamecamo, Kimpembe, etc.

Meh . Let him stay underrated
It's not just him though, I have read it by few other supporters, I don't know what they don't see in him. Hard to believe any LFC player would be underrated but he is the exception, I assume.

Anyone think Lukaku can bounce back under Poch?

I’m assuming we are all in agreement that the answer is no based on the garbage he has shown in the past two years.

So if you don’t think so, leave this post alone because we agree.

But if you think he can.. I’m curious as to why.

Blind and desperate optimism, and I'm sticking to it.

heavy links with Ugarte today. Sawiris has close links with Jorge Mendes, who represents Ugarte

Did Aston Villa win the lottery or rob a bank?
owners are the 3rd or 4th richest in the PL. And something that I didn't realize but heard on a podcast yesterday, but we have only spent 40m net in the last 3 years so we should have the ffp headspace to spend a lot this summer.

Villa net spend numbers are still pretty skewed by getting £100M+ for Grealish. They've also spent some wild money on wages with Kamara (free transfer) and Diego Carlos.

They've been spending money the last four years.

I also don't think that 40M number is accurate, unless I'm missing something? The Grealish sale was two years ago and that year Villa broke even on transfers more or less. This past season net spend is around £40M, plus three years ago of around £95M, so that right there is over £130M+.

I thought it was 40m net spend for 3 years, but it might have been 2. Which seems more likely as we only spent money on 3 players last summer. This came from our Athletic correspondent

But if you look at the last decade-ish, Villa would probably be close to the top ten in terms of transfer spend.

Over the last decade they're 10th on gross spend. Behind the expected big 6, Everton, West Ham, and Newcastle. On net, they're also 10th. Everton drop below them but Woves move ahead.

And that's with 3 of those years being spent in the Championship.
