Saw my first Sox games at Fenway in 1960. They swept the Kansas City Athletics in a double header. Sucked the little kid into loving the Sox.
I went to Fenway at least once a year after that and the next time I saw them win was in 1967.
Huh. I thought you were much younger than this.
my first sox game was Nomar’s 2 grand slam game against the mariners

First Sox game was 81. Evans hit a three run HR to center to complete an 8-7 bottom of the ninth comeback win against Rollie Fingers and the Brewers. They were down 7-1....
From what I recall I was out in RF rows behind Pesky PoleI was there too!
With my son in the centerfield bleachers (Row 4, section 36).
I have serious Mandela Effect over my first game at Fenway, what I know was that it was a summer weeknight, either 1996 or 1997, against Texas. I always remembered it as nothing happening but that Pudge Rodriguez hit a homer while we were in the bathroom and we missed it and the game ended up a 1-0 loss.
But searching through box scores of Sox/Texas games from those years, that 1-0 scenario never happened. I'm thinking it was probably this game, since Pudge did homer in it in the 4th inning:
