Cheap bargain bin contracts that may provide value.Signing 34 year old JVR and 34 year old Shattenkirk along with 35 year old Lucic isn't smartly pivoting.

No and they haven't signed a contract either, so I'm thinking their not coming back unless its in 2024 sometime, which would be ideal, but right now I think you have a better chance of seeing Lindholm or Scheifele centering the bruins top line at the Start of the season.Have bergy and dk announced their retirement?
Not sure what's worse, that or the group that rubs one out to their fatheads and GM all day.Do some of you get erect at the mere possibility of misery
Most times, it doesn't work - at least not everything.Cheap bargain bin contracts that may provide value.
I think sweens got something up in his sleeve it's only july early. No,no. It's squeak into the playoffs for some home dates and concessions for JJ.what direction? its either tank or compete
That doesn't matter as long you move Carlo to satisfy the Carlo haters that have no clue what he brings to the table , and then they will move on to someone else maybe even Pasta............Who’s your second pairing defenseman on the right side?
I think sweens got something up in his sleeve it's only july early. Will see.
yup.....like why did they bring back the same bunch of crap that couldn't get out of the first round?I'm convinced that if Sweemey magically brought last years team back, people would still complain.
Truth be told I could care less if Bertuzzi came back at 1 or 5 years, but apparently Todd wanted to be here and the Bruins wanted him. I mean what's wrong with letting the market develop instead of binge shopping on guys that were a dime a dozen 2 hours into free agency? Lucic included and yes I wanted him. None of us thought Bert would sign a one year deal, so I kinda get it.I think sweens got something up in his sleeve it's only july early. Will see.
Can't argue with that.....wonder how many other fan bases feel the same wayI'm not sure that it's people not realizing this as much as it is that people are angry with the reason why this team had to trade Hall and weren't able to sign Bertuzzi. Why was it that the Bruins had to fill out a lot of roster spots with limited cap space? Bad free agent signings, attaching assets to move said bad signings, and poor drafting leading to very very few quality prospects making the jump - all big reasons why this team had to go dumpster-diving on a very small budget. There was no realistic way to make it work because this team made more bad decisions than good since 2015.
For me, Sweeney has put three bonafide SC champion teams together in 2019, 2020 and 2023. Now covid ruined 2020, but the players shat the bed the other two seasons.I'll probably get blasted for this.
Can someone explain to me why they think Sweeney is doing a good job.
I may be wrong but I see a GM constantly playing catchup. Making up for past failures. Not addressing lack of centers to replace aging vets, some questionable contracts and drafting.
Is it on the job training for a GM?
when you give up multiple assets for rentals you should really have a plan to keep them
Lots more in the bargain bin that can help I took a peek.I like those moves.
El cheapo. My favorite kind.
Don has something else coming I can feel it.
HAHA.......... Yes you are right , and I hope you enjoy the job I will do.........The good news is when Sweeney is fired, the Bruins have plenty of highly capable GM here on HFB to choose from.
Blah Blah BlahThat doesn't matter as long you move Carlo to satisfy the Carlo haters that have no clue what he brings to the table , and then they will move on to someone else maybe even Pasta............
Agreed, for the most part. Only a yr left with Forbort anyway. Would rather the B's come into next offseason without any buyout penalties. Sort of a clean slate of sorts.Reilly was bad forbert is a warrior and played very well last year . Hes valuable if he stays.
