I will be sorry to see him go. I thought that was part of the rationale for the 6M Hall salary dump. He was a very good fit and I would really have liked to see him stay. If he is gone, I hope it is to a dog team who overpays and the only way he sees the playoffs is on tv. Vindictive? Sure. Petty? Maybe.

This is exactly what I was afraid we'd do. I do not want to clog the roster with older vets.
Yup, reminiscent of the Kovalenko, Scatchard, Zamuner, etc eras...would've preferred leaving roster spots open to some youth instead...which they badly need to start integrating.

Guess I can live with him at 1 mil on the third line, but please tell me he's not in the top 6

On an admittedly bad flyers team, in 21-22, despite scoring 24 goals, he was a -33. That was not the first time in his career that he was a -33. Maybe he will do much better with us.
Did he bring a foldable chair and park his butt on the offensive end? Jesus

Well my hopes of becoming a younger team building around pasta/McAvoy/swayman is not off to a good start with the JVR move and rumors of lucic on the way lol.

Still plenty of time, but kind of curious what Sweeney’s direction is right now outside of just actually filling out a roster with bodies
