Why is Reilly still here? Why is Grzilik still here? Forbort?

If he buys out Reilly, moves the other two and upgrades current centers Sweeney will have done OK.

Did I see that Foligno is included in this deal? Seems odd since he's a pending UFA and would likely have no value, unless Chicago wants a little time to see if he'd come in for some veteran leadership.

I'm a Hall fan, was a good soldier, played awesome in the playoffs, forced his way to Boston and signed a very friendly deal, is one of the few guys that can actually skate the puck into the offensive zone ....but I guess we get younger. Bert better not cost a dime over $6M and it better not be a full 8 year deal.....guy won't age well.

Seems like these guys could be possible Cliffy/Zboril replacements. Well, we knew they were going to need some cheap young guys or cheap vets to fill in so these guys fit the bill.

I was wrong. Hall it is.

Could someone please explain to me why taking Hall of the team and adding Bertuzzi makes them better? Thanks.
Gives them a little cap space, I don’t think Bert will get $6M and a couple guys that could be options for the third pair. The straight up Hall vs Bert comparison we’ll have to wait and see but I like Bertuzzi’s edge. Outside of the last series Hall was kind of a letdown.

I agree on Hall. But I feel like Bertuzzi is going to be pretty similar in terms of impact even if his impact is a little different.

I also fear how bad this Bertuzzi deal is gonna be. I think a post 30s Bertuzzi could be a real problem.
