D tend to rise as teams need them. Particularly RDs. Hopefully we aren’t that team lol

Enough with drafting by need. BPA !!!!!No RHD ??? that's what we need,
We need an elite forward. No RHD ??? that's what we need,
Yep - especially after passing on Cooley last year sigh.We need an elite forward.
I would 100%Would you guys do a trade around 5 + 17 + some other pick to Arizona for 6 + 12. If Michkov was off the board I might think about it.
Nope. 17 and 12 will be the exact same quality.Would you guys do a trade around 5 + 17 + some other pick to Arizona for 6 + 12. If Michkov was off the board I might think about it.
Sure we should do it....but I wouldn't think Arizona would be interested.Would you guys do a trade around 5 + 17 + some other pick to Arizona for 6 + 12. If Michkov was off the board I might think about it.
I always do my list from Habs perspective. I really liked what i saw of ASP but i dont like the fit for Mtl…I'm not an expert, just curious: that Swedish dman didn't make it? No one from Sweden made it?
And we need a top defenceman. And a top goalie for that matter. We need an elite forward.
I wasn't clear enough. The numbers are one thing but I have seen very (very) few glimpses of his talent at the pro level, compared to what he shows in junior. Some would say that's normal, and it is, but you would at least expect flashes, especially compared to how former SHL or Allvenskan top-10 picks have done. It might be a matter of opportunity or the quality of players around him, but in any case I haven't been impressed, and the numbers kind of confirm that. Now, he has been extremely solid in international tournaments, I can give him that much. It just worries me that he's been struggling to translate his offense at a higher level.I don t understand the disappointment. He has been destroying J20, has scored as a reasonable pace in Allensvenskan for a top 10 pick. That s what I said about Slaf, did not like production for a 1OA but fine by me with a Rantanen pick close between 5-10OA. Add to that that Dvorsky is a center who has a great shot, seems like a good 5-7OA
HF Habs sweetheart? People on this board more on the ball than Bobby Mac's consensus? You're living in an alternate reality. When you say "we" or "people on this board", you know that refers to "we" or "people on this board" and not Button or Bob Mackenzie, right?
Barkov was HF habs sweetheart in 2013.
He also didnt fly under the radar, he literally had the greatest liiga draft season of all time lmao.
We're going to draft Dvorsky, and then throw him into the NHL immediately. This will not be successful.
In the eventuality we draft one of them, its likely AHL, none are ready for the NHL. With Slaf the physical tools gave him an advantage, MVP at the olympics and a great showing against NHLers at the WC, was also a 1st OV pick.I actually think we will do that with Reinbacher
Dvorsky's skating was what prevented him to be successful this year in a men league, his skating was pro level slightly below avarage and thats what he will need to keep working on the most. That being said, his skating isnt a weakness compared to most top prospects and I dont see it as an issue going foward. Not sure why people are enamoured with Dvorsky’s Allsvenskan numbers. Reinbacher produced more than him in a better league and he’s a defenceman.
Who’s got the better draft profile Dalibor Dvorsky or Juraj Slafkovsky?

The farm will be more talented next season, if Slaf struggle at camp, its not impossible he joins Mesar and maybe Dvorsky for a 10-15 games stretch.
Reinbacher would likely follow the Seider, Jiricek path while with Dvorsky, thats likely 75% Laval 25% OHL depending how he performs at camp. Im pretty sure Habs brass will want them in N.A.
Dvorsky is so responsible defensively, he's played with men in a very defensive league, we feel that he's learned all that Sweden has to teach him, so that's why he's playing on the 4th line here. A D A M N I C H O L A S. Anything you say, Adam Nicholas.
This has been a Montreal Canadiens development moment.
