Great. Let's get Bedard first thenI think Matthew Wood would be a great winger for Connor Bedard

I actually think we will do that with ReinbacherWe're going to draft Dvorsky, and then throw him into the NHL immediately. This will not be successful.
Where getting him !Great. Let's get Bedard first then
Theres an universe with Reinbacher and Dvorsky on the rosterI actually think we will do that with Reinbacher
Yes as fans on a message board, it has no impacts and our bias are for our enterntainment only.easy to say this now but go back look at the threads nobody wanted them specially Brady he was getting tons of hate to the point that i didnt even like him and i never saw him play
Zadina was the pick the fans and the scouts had and he was a bust also
Both are already playing in a men's league, it's not far fetched and wouldn't be shocking either.I actually think we will do that with Reinbacher
This is the Montreal strategy and then people wonder why we have never had a star player in almost 30 yearsWe're going to draft Dvorsky, and then throw him into the NHL immediately. This will not be successful.
None are franchise players and its development rather than drafting.Yes as fans on a message board, it has no impacts and our bias are for our enterntainment only.
Obviously if the pick made by the brass back in 2018 was Zadina, well it would have been way worse than KK.
You said our draft luck sucked.
I simply wanted to highlights that we had two franchise player available for us and our former head scout and former gm chose Kotkaniemi because we already had victor mete (so no quinn hughes) and i don't know why they prefered him to Tkachuk but still. Its not bad luck. Its simply miserable scouting and miserable drafting which we were accustomed to for a decade. I can understand for a 20OV++ picks but wiffing a f***ing top 3 pick is so damageable for the franchise.
No RHD ??? that's what we need,
Slaf for sure.Who’s got the better draft profile Dalibor Dvorsky or Juraj Slafkovsky?
The Habs don't "need" RHDs, they need good players. No RHD ??? that's what we need,

Slafkovsky is the superior prospect and draft year Slafkovsky > current Dvorsky as well. Dvorsky probably has the more "conventional" profile I guessWho’s got the better draft profile Dalibor Dvorsky or Juraj Slafkovsky?

Why do the habs need a RHD that much ?Well i hope they will be a decent RHD at #37 , Stbark or Dragevic maybe..
Yep, this team needs talent first and foremost, not positions. Acquire the talent, fill the positions.I'm on the Reinbacher train, but I absolutely agree that we don't exactly "need" a RD right now. We just need good players everywhere. There's no position where we're deep enough to pass on a top 5-7 level talent for the sake of positional need. I want Reinbacher because I really like his profile specifically, the fact he fills what looks like a positional need is convenient but doesn't really matter much to me given we also need forwards and goalies just as badly.
I can see the future and this happens. He plays on the 4th line wing 7 min/game.We're going to draft Dvorsky, and then throw him into the NHL immediately. This will not be successful.
The other thing about RHD specifically is we might end up in a situation where our #1 and #2 are both LHD and we don't necessarily "need" a stud RHD to have a good top 4 in much the same way that Subban was able to win a Norris next to Josh Gorges and Petry was very good with mediocre partners like Kulak and Edmundson.Yep, this team needs talent first and foremost, not positions. Exactly. Filling up a roster is the easiest job. Getting top talent is the hardest. The other thing about RHD specifically is we might end up in a situation where our #1 and #2 are both LHD and we don't necessarily "need" a stud RHD to have a good top 4 in much the same way that Subban was able to win a Norris next to Josh Gorges and Petry was very good with mediocre partners like Kulak and Edmundson.
Of course I don't "want" to build a team like that and I'd rather have a stud RD to put together a truly dominant pair, but it's not like it would be a huge catastrophe if we have to stick Barron next to Guhle and find some mediocre defensive #4D for ~4M to partner with Hutson in the future if nobody emerges as a top 4 RD from the prospect pool. Especially since we could just trade from positions of strength to get a better RD as well.
1 most likely, I have 2 in my top 20.Just a thought... Last year there were a bunch of D to rise in the ranking late and then ultimately 5 got picked in the top 12. Will history repeat? How many D will go top 15?
I don't think it's quite comparable with last year, Korchinski definitely rose a bit but out of those 5 they were all taken roughly in ranges they were projected throughout the season or where they were expected to be taken.Just a thought... I think all 5 are better prospects than the 2nd best D in this draft, ASP (in my opinion).
