Barlow is a physical/energy guy, or just an energy guy like Lehkonen was were he's hard on the forecheck like a madman ?Id say Strbak, Barlow, Lind, Haltunnen to name a few.

Goalies love pressure unless they are mental midgets like Andrew Raycroft. But playing for Montreal has brought out the best in goalies. It would be up to management to interview him and see what he’s like. But the talent is there.Taking him with Florida’s pick is a bad idea for everyone involved and that was what I objected to.
It’s bad for the goalie, bad for the team and bad for the fans. There’s so much pressure on a goalie, especially here in Montreal and just adding a double heaping of expectations on top of it is just looking for trouble.
Physical, energy guys to keep an eye on ?

I'd take Carlsson with ease but I'm resigned to the fact I'm alone in that.. just like I was one of very few who would have taken Cooley at 1.
For 2nd-3rd rounds:
Kalan Lind (F) - Red Deer Rebels (WHL)
Coulson Pitre (C) - Flint Firebirds (OHL)
Ethan Miedema (LW) - Kingston Frontenacs (OHL)
Kasper Halttunen (RW) - HIFK (Liiga - Finland)
Nico Myatovic (LW) - Seattle Thunderbirds (WHL)
Jaden Lipinski (C) - Vancouver Giants (WHL)
Talented guy that can play physical.Barlow is a physical/energy guy, or just an energy guy like Lehkonen was were he's hard on the forecheck like a madman ?
what's the word on Ethan Miedema, he's a a big boy that was traded from Spitfires to the Frontenacs. The #'s aren't impressive but I see he was a 4th OA pick in the O. He scored last night, goal starts at the 2:20 mark.
I know the Frontenacs have a number of players eligible for the draft but I was just focused on Mailloux so I'm not sure if I got much footage of Outwater or anyone else.
That’s exactly right. I have a thing called a life so a don’t have the time, skills or inclination to devote every working hour of my time to individually scout and rank every prospect and in the world. As a result, I rely on the research from a collection of scouts and analysts whose profession it is to do the aforementioned tasks. After they do all the heavy lifting, I’ll read and go over their comprehensive work to come to a conclusion of my own along with some casual watching of hockey info for fun.So... what youre telling us is that, you don't really know anything that would set the players apart. You just used a list.
Not really, its more the type of game played over there, most games end up with soccer league scores and its pretty hard for kids to blossom over there. Kemell will be similar to Caufield, a great goalscorer if he has someone to feed him the puck, something he doesnt have in Liiga. It was a stupid move by the Preds to send him back there, I would have played him in the AHL right away, Liiga is good to improve your skating period.Finnish/Swedish prospects are dangerous.
You are not alone to prefer Carlsson over Fantilli, Ive been ranking Carlsson over him all year long.I'd take Carlsson with ease but I'm resigned to the fact I'm alone in that.. just like I was one of very few who would have taken Cooley at 1.
You're on a forum filled with hockey nerds who do in fact spend many hours watching prospects play. So why discredit they're observations if you just read rankigns and notes. Its totally fine to do just that, but you should dismiss their opinions based on that, its just disrespectful. That’s exactly right. Tell me more about your decision to rank Carlsson over Fantilli. Appreciate itYou are not alone to prefer Carlsson over Fantilli, Ive been ranking Carlsson over him all year long.
Oh, so you’re not a professional scout or anything like that? How many hours a week do you spend watching CHL, NCAA, Liga, etc. do watch per week? How many hours have you spent watching the top 100 prospects and by what metrics do you rank them? Is it expensive to carry all those specialized subscriptions or do you watch a lot of the games live?I watch hockey, I guess?
I did no such thing. Where did I discredit anyone??? If anyone was discrediting anyone, it was Mrb1p to me:You're on a forum filled with hockey nerds who do in fact spend many hours watching prospects play. Stronger on his skates, tougher to knock off the puck, better hands in tight, better puck management. Fantilli is the better skater and possibly has the better shot at this point, but its hard to gauge since the scoring chances are pretty hard to get in the SHL, Carlsson has a good shot too, but I agree that he doesnt use it enough. Overall, thats pretty close, I like Carlsson better personally, but Ive no issue with people having Fantilli over him, thats really really close IMO.Tell me more about your decision to rank Carlsson over Fantilli. Carlsson is having one of the best seasons ever for a draft eligible prospect in the SHL. My comparison remains a Barkov like player. Fantilli's passing and shooting selections at times makes me cringe, he has some fantastic tools, but personally I prefer Carlsson's composure. At that rank, it's make it or break it. If we ever get a #2 pick, we have to make sure to pick the right player. Sometimes I watch Fantilli and I wonder if he's just physically just too much for the NCAA but does he possess the IQ to translate his offense and talent to the NHL. Carlsson, I just want to see a more dynamic player. Does Carlsson have the same or higher ceiling than Kirby Dach? We need an explosive player, that's why I think Fantilli might get the edge over Carlsson for me at this point, but they both are tremendous prospects with insane potential. But I'm a Michkov fan hahaha
Benson, then Smith.Who do you guys got at 5, Smith, Benson or someone else?

Which is? Who is bpa at 5?The most skilled player, regardless of size.
Which is? Who is bpa at 5?
Fresh prince of Montreal!Benson, then Smith.
TBH I'm tempted to take Smith just cause Fresh Prince might end up being the best nickname in the NHL.
