I can live with being at 6th.. you can just grab Smith or Benson there and be very happy about it. At 7 you have to hope someone reached on a non-consensus guy.

At 7 or 8, I will still very pleased to grab Moore or Leonard.

It’s funny to talk about his beard, but it’s tough to ignore Barlow. That was an amazing shot while using Mailloux as a screen in transition.

He’s not the type of player you build around, but he’s certainly a great complimentary piece. If they think Dach is scratching the surface of his true potential and can be a great centre moving forward, then Barlow would be a good option. There are other players I’d take before him, but I don’t think his becoming a man early means he’s going to plateau early. Look at Tkachuk.

That's the thing is that I don't think his release and shot is elite in the NHL. It's above average and he needs players to get him the puck. Best case scenario he could be a scorer like Pacioretty but if not then he will fluctuate between 20-30 goals depending on his line.

He's a good player I'd just be a little bummed if that was the crown jewel of our 2023 draft. I like Leonard more because he's shown more of a propensity to create his own shot.

Nothing, hes still a top 30 prospect. Just hasnt had the development curve we expected. Hes a surefire top 6 player to me though.

I think it depends on whos picking, Van, Philly and Washington I could see wanting him.
