0% chance that happens. If we pick at 7 and Carlsson is there, they better run the pick up to the podium. That's a bigtime steal.

I like this, Michkov falling into our lap at #7 would be amazing. My own top 15 at this point taking in consideration the Russian factor:
1-Bedard
2-Carlsson
3-Fantilli
4-Reinbacher
5-Moore
6-Dvorsky
7-Michkov
8-Sandin-Pellikka
9-Smith
10-Barlow
11-Brindley
12-Benson
13-Yager
13-Ritchie
14-Heidt
15-Leonard
I rectified the list without considering the Russian factor since nobody knows where he will end up being picked.I like this, Michkov falling into our lap at #7 would be amazing.
Canadiens already small up front. He's not on my front burner. But if he slides into 2nd round I would take flyer on him.Small for sure, but great skater, very high work rate, tenacious, high end IQ and strong playmaking skills. Kid doesnt get manhandled against older bigger players, he rolls on the hits and has very good strength for an undersized player.
I think the defensemen slide down a bit. I think Smith goes higher than 9 and Cristall goes in top 15. Hopefully one of those Ds are there with our Florida pick.My own top 15 at this point not taking in consideration the Russian factor:

There is always a premium on dmen (and size). Also, teams drafting for needs...I think the defensemen slide down a bit. I think Smith goes higher than 9 and Cristall goes in top 15. Hopefully one of those Ds are there with our Florida pick.

Nice list. We should be in a position to draft 2 of those guys. Are there any other guys who almost made the list or who you are keeping an eye on that are in the same tier?
SOLR has the belief that the 6 month difference between the two players is huge, ignoring the fact that Carlsson was better at 16/17 than Dvorsky is at 17/18. And Carlsson at 17/18 is on a completely different level.
That still doesn't make sense to me, you're saying that Dvorsky could get stronger, but I suggest that Carlsson could get smarter, in that situation Carlsson is the clear winner.
I was very high on Dvorsky and still am but given his performances this year I d put him After ASP right now.My own top 15 at this point not taking in consideration the Russian factor:

What does being a centre have anything to do with the quality of players that they are? Even if Carlsson is not a centre, he’s better than Dvorsky. You’re entering into the “let’s draft KK over Tkachuk” type of argument.LOL! Sorry but that's absolutely ridiculous. I spilled my cereal.
Carlsson has yet to prove he's a center...
Anyone know if/which sites do a bet on who gets drafted 1st overall/who gets 1st overall ?
I got a few monopoly games kicking around.Sportsinteraction
But you'd have to put down millions to get a return on the Bedard odds.
I got a few monopoly games kicking around.
It only goes by order, not by team who gets 1st overall ?
Like draft order,
1st Bedard
2nd Fantili
3rd Carlson
Etc ?
Ah alright I was hoping they'd do one for who gets 1st overall, just the team. It'd be like
1st Overall Pick
Connor Bedard Adam Fantilli
Leo Carlsson Matvei Michkov
Other
and have odds for each.
They usually do that for the first 3 picks. Then they'll do individual Canadian team picks.
And a lot of time it will be like
Who gets drafted first
Adam Fantilli
Leo Carlsson
Or
Leo Carlsson Draft Position
Under 2.5
over 2.5

If anything Carlsson is in KK's situation...
Salé, Crystall, Strbak and possibly Wood and Musty, but I have to watch more. Musty got injured lately, hopefully he is back soon. Danielson not a fan of his skating from my limited viewing.Nice list. We should be in a position to draft 2 of those guys. Are there any other guys who almost made the list or who you are keeping an eye on that are in the same tier?
Dvorsky's taking a beating in here because context is being neglected. Dvorsky at age 17 was matched up against opposing team's top lines at the WJC. He had to do this against both Canada and USA where they beat USA and took Canada to OT. He chewed up Team Canada centers in the face-off dot and spat them out. I really hope he gets to play in the U18. He'll torch it.Because you are comparing offensive acuity alone and your argument completely disregards the value of the core skills of a center. Skills where Dvorsky is way ahead of Carlsson since he is 15 (not talking about the meaningful difference in age, given Dvorsky's late physical growth spurt, here).

Please...

I would grab him with a late 1st personally, hopefully we can get one at the TDL.Canadiens already small up front. He's not on my front burner. But if he slides into 2nd round I would take flyer on him.
