Just in the sense that Habs HFB/Reddit tends to go hyperbolic with the prospect love and expectations after a few highlights.

Yeah, it happens everywhere. I think it's fun to get carried away and think about the best case scenario. Makes it awesome when it finally happens.

But I do try to avoid those comparisons. Ovechkin and Lidstrom are all timers

Swedish beat writers were making some pretty crazy comparisons. Some Swedish hockey fan came on here freaking out over him that wasn't even a Habs fan. He was also scoring some crazy goals with great mitts.

That top line of Perreault Smith Leonard is stacked, you have there 3 1st round talents playing on the same line, on a strong team, so obviously, they will rack up the points like crazy. While all 3 are highly talented, they all have strengths and weaknesses, with Perreault I would say the lack of physical involvement and a tendency to turn it over sometimes (IQ) makes him more difficult to project at the next levels, the reason why you will see him lower on most lists, but in term of skills alone, he is among the most talented of the draft.
Thanks for the answer

I thought Brzustewicz looked the best i've seen in the few games of his i've caught. Not a lot of him in the vid but his assist was nice as well as one or two other plays.

What is the argument to have Gulyayev above Reinbacher and let alone having him top 9? Theres very little transferable skills to me. Hes not dominant with that skating at the MHL level, what is he going to be when he gets to the next level? He cant defend well like Mete did, his shot is average, is skating is good but hes not Girard, his playmaking is almost vanilla, hes not soft but hes not Romanov.

I love Gulyayev with the puck on his stick, and while I don't think he's a true speedster in his current capacity I do like his lateral movement and first couple steps that could make him a gamebreaker at the NHL level with his puck skills and mentality. My main caveat is he'll need to go to the right team to groom his skill set, cause on the flip side his gap control is.....a work in progress.

As for Reinbacher, I think he's fine. I think he's currently at 17 on my list, an intriguing combination of movement and size. Very safe prospect from my glances and I can be convinced he'd be a good pick for the Habs from #7 and up.

You think he could be a game breaker? How do you explain that he is not one at the MHL level right now? Does he have a single tool that screams even top pair?

Lets go even more simple, what does Gulyayev do better than Reinbacher, or even ASP for that matter.

(I am always looking for the next great russian prospect, I always overrate them, Gulyayev was my golden ticket, but to me he doesnt even look like a player Id spend a second on.)

Got a chance to watch Noah Dower Nilsson yesterday. He indeed has very high end offensive tools. He reminds me of Riley Kidney in the respect that you wonder if they transfer, but I wouldn't mind taking him with a late first/early second.
