Slovakia: Slovak Extraliga 2024-2025 - NHL Prospects

Was looking at the Slovak league rosters after hearing a couple of former Princeton University players are playing there.

Realize the league is mostly for older, second tier pro players and that many of the top Slovak prospects are either in North America juniors or other European leagues.

Are there any NHL Draft eligible or slightly older players who might make intriguing free agents?

Perhaps Kosice defenseman Antonin Bartos for instance?

HK Nitra has some young prospects on roster:
- Tomáš Pobežal (2006)
- Tomáš Chrenko (2007)
- Adam Nemec (2007)

Plus others like Adam Kalman (D), Ivan Bercik (F)...

In Dukla Trencin is Tobias Tomik (2007).

Im not saying, all this players are NHL material. But some of them could be interesting.

How big is the gap between the Czech and Slovak Extraligas?

Is Slovakia's top league better than the Czech second division or are they about equal?

I noticed that Jonas Peterek never scored much in the Czech Extraliga but.is almost a point per game player in Slovakia. Of course he is also a year older.

Any thoughts on Bratislav defenseman Andrej Golian? Was in North America briefly in his junior years during the Covid era but is a lot bigger now.

They should re-merge the 2 leagues along with ICE (Austrian hockey league)
