On Barlow (And Fantili) and players that have high testosterone peak in their mid teens: Dont draft them unless theyre exceptional or theres no better option.

Easy signs: high pilosity, male pattern baldness, deep voice, filled out muscles, mega legs (calves especially).

Definitely Wood but I don't think Wood is available as late as Dower-Nilsson will be.

Heidt
Ritchie
Danielson
Leonard

My answer? Cause Benson and Cristall have offensive tools that Brindley doesn't have. It's like comparing Garland to Gaudreau. Yeah, Garland is a good little player but Gaudreau destroys him in offensive tools.
Disagree, Brindley is a superb skater, very good puckhandler, strong playmaker and a very high hockey IQ. Kid offensive talent level is pretty underrated.

Tough break for Reinbacher. Came within a few millimeters of another assist, but takes a minus instead. Puck found it's way to a man coming out of the box.

What is it about Reinbacher that make him raising so high a lot of list?

I see a very good player but I just don't see a 1st pairing NHL D, so it it high floor type situation or is there also high upside that I'm not seeing.

He's big, strong, fast, and smart. The most complete package for a dman in the draft, IMO.

Just watching this game tonight he's been involved in several scoring chances for, showing creative passing, and has defensively smothered the opposition. Just now he hemmed Ambri-Piotta into their zone twice in one shift, forcing an icing which ended up with a couple shots on net.

He has a big impact.

Fantilli looks like a young 20s with facial hair.

Barlow legit looks like he's in his 30s going on 40.

Yeah, overall it's a good list. One that I largely agree with. One truly elite player. 3 top line forwards. Then about a dozen forwards all with top 6 or better potential.

Benson, Cristall, Dvorsky, Smith, Sale, Leonard, Moore, Barlow, Yager all have similar potential.

We'll be arguing about who we should pick til draft day then probably argue how we took the wrong guy forever.

Interesting to see Noah Dower-Nilsson so high. I liked him as a potential sleeper pick late 1st, but I guess not.

I disagree that Michkov is not in the same tier as Bedard.

Oh boy, Eliteprospects January ranking is out and they are ranking Oliver Moore over Will Smith, its going to make some rumbling over here.

Hmm, Moore is a good player? I really like Will Smith, i put him in my top 6. But Moore i don't know really well him, what comparable and potential to do you think he have?

I know that Smith looks like Cooley 2.0 to me.

From the few games i've seen, I like both players a lot but with Moore you have to ask yourself how would he do if he was on the top line in place of Smith. I'd be very happy with either player

Nice to hear. I'm have high confidence with the new management, they will select the best player possible for Habs future. The 2022 draft looks very good so far, can't wait to see their choices this year!!

Montreal answered it right, Smith spent most of the season with Perreault and Leonard while Moore centered their 2nd line in the shadow of their top line and still was productive. I like both alot, Smith has more offensive creativity to his game, is a better playmaker while Moore is a better sniper, better skater, has the higher motor, more effective on 200 ft. and is better in the dots. Moore is also physically stronger, more powerful at that point. I would give Smith the edge personally since I think he has alot of room to grow physically and once he do that, should develop more strength, power and stamina to his game. 2 very different players, Smith loves to slow the pace down while Moore is all speed.

As a comparable for Moore, nothing coming to my mind right now but I'll tag you back if I find one.

Also Jaden Perron at 10. Barely ever mentionned here.
No clue about him, I havent watched all them.

Thanks for the report. So we can all expect a potential 1C for Moore at NHL level? Or more likely a great top 6 C. That would be a good pick at 8-12 range. I'd prefer the potential of Smith, Benson, Dvorsky and even Yager so far. But if Moore have 1C potential, considering him at 6-7, it's ok too.

More likely a great top 6 with ton of speed, pace, motor ect, exactly the type of player you win with. Smith has the higher celling if everything goes perfectly in his development though.

I dont have Yager in my top 15 personally, Im not considering him at all with the Panthers pick at that point. EP has dropped him late 1st as well, kid hasnt showed much so far this year. Im questioning his game away from the puck and IQ.

He's not all that at all. Too small, not enough skating. He's falling in the rankings for next year.
Why would anyone care about todays rankings for 2024? Have you even watched any of his games this year, apart from the few occasional highlights in the U20 practice games? All the little details that make him such an intriguing prospect are still there, this time in a professional men's league. I see a 16-year old defenceman earning his place at a top men's league based on his smarts and puck skills alone, and I'm extremely excited. Of course he's still physically raw and not the best skater in the world, but who cares? His edgework is already solid, and he's literally only had one short summer of strength training. The rest will come with age.

You just cannot overvalue hockey IQ and puck skills in a defenceman, ever. I'd much rather get the smartest defenseman in the draft than a smooth-skating 6'3" defenseman who mainly excels in whipping the puck at the ankles of the opposing forwards in the sheer hope that some day "he'll get it all together".

If he somehow fell to the Habs next year somewhere around the ~5th pick I'd be ecstatic. This team desperately needs a defenceman with his profile.

Yes, great top 6 players with great tools, speed and motor are always welcome to a team, so at range 6-10, Moore wil be a player that scouts will consider, for sure.

We all say that to a player like Dylan Larkin in his draft day, great speed, great motor and potential to be a great top 6. So if Moore can become a type like Larkin, that's a great pick.
