Better and Dvorsky's two years younger. It's Roy's weakness and the only thing that makes his status as a blue chip prospect questionable. Dvorsky's almost a sure thing to have a long NHL career.
They say Dvorsky not fast why i asked. Usually major factor for top flight center. Sounds like he second line center.

Roy skating maybe improve once NHL coaching

Dvorsky doesn't have gamebreaking speed but neither does Suzuki.

Roy's had skating coaching since he was a young kid. It can still improve some but there's a lot of muscle memory tied in that sloppy technique. I really hope he has a productive NHL career. Some below average skaters still do well (e.g. Mark Stone) but most don't. He sure has great hockey sense which can make up time for him.

Honestly we could probably draft all 3 of them if that's how we decided we wanted to spend day 1 of the draft.

Perreault has been on a mega tear lately, it's hard for me to rank him because I really liked his older brother Jacob, who I thought was a steal at #27 in 2020, but he hasn't impressed much since being drafted.

I like all 3 plus Oliver Moore who I'm not sure if I like him more or Smith more. Last year it was Smith who impressed me, this year both have impressed me but so has Leonard and Perreault to a lesser extent.

Bedard and Michkov are in a class of their own.

Fantilli and Carlsson don't belong in the same tier IMO. And I really like them both TBH.

Carlsson is a favorite of mine but I won't go as far as to rank him higher than Michkov. Even considering all the non hockey related factors.

Bedard is in a class of his own. Nobody really knows if Michkov's game has progressed. He has had injuries and he's been playing mostly in the VHL...not the KHL. Nobody's able to go watch him.

Also Bob McKenzie's last rankings (poll of execs/scouts from NHL teams) has him at #3.

Gabe Perreault is really really talented, but will turn it over at times, not the highest IQ. Kid plays a skilled game mostly. I have him late 1st.

Fantilli really impressed me. I think there are questions about his IQ, but the way he adapted to his role was fantastic. Him and Beck had excellent chemistry. He's sitting @3 for me right now.

Top 10:
Bedard

Michkov

Fantilli
Carlsson

Smith
Cristall
Yager
Benson
Sale
Wood

Dvorsky is sliding down my list. Time will tell if he falls to us later in the 1st. I would probably swing for the fences and gamble with Sandin Pellikka but I have a feeling he'll end up top 10 and not there with Florida's pick.

Fantilli played very well the past two games...particularly this one. I think he's gonna be a beauty as well. I'm really good with all of the top four.
Yeah, the main guys (Bedard, Fantilli, Carlsson, Michkov) or Will Smith for me.

WJC is over. Obviously, Bedard has no competition for the 1st OV spot. Then its close between Carlsson and Fantilli. Michkov could easily end up as the 2nd best player in this draft, but uncertainty will likely make him drop at 4 minimum. Then I have Reinbacher, Dvorsky, Smith and Oliver Moore in the next group. After that its up in the air, I would probably pick Barlow at 9 OV.

Bedard

Carlsson
Fantilli
Michkov

Smith
Reinbacher
Dvorsky
Moore

Barlow...

Thats it for me, see you back on draft day.
