May be just me, and I know he's young, but I honestly don't like Dvorsky skating, he has good hands, a seemingly good shot and looks strong on his feet, his skating, overall, is very average. Wouldn't mind him drafted by us at all, but I hope they hire a skating coach for him if that's the case.

Cristall isn't very big, but the fact he contributes that much on a 'meh' team in Kelowna is something else. Saw some people say he isn't good defensively, I know I don't give a crap about that when a kid is that good offensively, he can work on that anyway.

There's something missing in Dvorsky's game.. I liked him coming in to this year and he's got good tools with his frame but there's a lot of Shane Wright in his game. I don't feel like he wants to challenge anyone.

I will not be disappointed if we get Carlsson. Matter of fact I think he'll fit right in with the current core we have.

I would jump for joy if the Habs draft Carlsson.

In the SHL, he is trending to hover around the Top-10 of all time in the SHL for U-19 players. He's already passed Kopitar. He's a few points shy of passing Fiala. And if he continues to trend this way when he returns to SHL, he will probably surpass Backstrom and Lindholm. And he won't be far off from Henrik Sedin.

That's some pretty good company to measure up to.

hmm, not seeing that at all. I'm seeing an overall lack of speed for Dvorsky, but his IQ and actions are way superior.

More top 20-25 range to me. Good player, but not Barlow, Heidt, Ritchie level.

Riley Heidt is a very underrated prospect in this draft. Very talented player with a good two-way game. I really like his passing ability.
One of my Xmas presents were a pair of Giants tickets vs. the Cougars in February to see Heidt and Koehn Zeimmer, Mazden Leslie and hopefully Honzek will be back healthy by then.

About everybody seems to think that Slaf would go in the 5-7 range in the 2023 draft, well from that crop, only Bedard could end up playing in the NHL next year. Carlsson needs to keep working on his skating, Fantilli on his overall strength, decision making and Michkov wont play in the NHL for a while. Furthermore, none of Fantilli or Carlsson should play on their National team next WC. Also, keep in mind that Slaf was named MVP of last Olympics, what is an incredible achievement for a player in his draft year.

We will know only in 3-4 yrs where Slaf would stand in that 2023 draft, only thing we know for sure at that point, it wont be 1st.

More hype for Andrew Cristall. Not that surprised that Bedard is having the best WHL DY and DY-1 seasons in 2 decades, but what's interesting is that Cristall is currently 3rd in WHL DY in PPG and was top 10 for DY-1 seasons.

Benson also hanging around top 10 in both DY and DY-1.

Brindley will be there in the 2nd and even then, I don't think I'd pull the trigger with our high 2nd.

We have enough undersized kids and there's nothing overly wow about his skill-set. Good little player, not really interested in picking him.

I want Fantilli, Dvorosky and Brindley. Come on habs and panthers lets lose some games and trade some players.

Watch some of the other prospects not featured in the WJC.. there's better options than Dvorsky (Sale who did play in the WJC showed better) and especially Brindley.

I thought Dvorsky played really well in the WJC. Very smart, good two-way center. Has some creativity. Doesn't seem to have game-breaking speed. He was every bit as good as Wright in this WJC and he's a year younger. He's currently my #5 forward after the big 4. We'll see if another forward (maybe Smith) or two take off in the new year.

I'm not sure how effective Sale will be in North American pro hockey. I find him so soft.

haha the most interesting thing is Cristall is one of the most used forward on OK recently, because Szturc and Dach is playing WJC. His PK is good, but his defensive play on 5v5 is… meh…

I dont think Salé showed more than Dvorsky, he played on the CZE top line and displayed some limitation in term of physical involvement, puck battles ect, he was really soft out there. Brindley played in a more erased role on the USA fourth line with less responsabilities than Dvorsky who I found extremmely smart and effective on 200 ft. To me Dvorsky is a natural center who does alot good things on the ice, he might be limited a bit in term of creativity, upside, but I think projects well as a good 2-way 2nd line center in the making. You have to take in consideration the average quality of his linemates too, nothing against Ciernik and I like Sykora, but kid wasnt in ideal conditions to produce offensively, the Mesar line was mostly the one starting on the PP as well.

I have Dvorsky and Moore in the same tier personally, 5-10 range.
