If he's a surefire generational talent why did 5 other teams pass on him?

People were saying that about the Kings 5-6 years ago and now everyone but Byfield and Clarke have been traded. You never know.

Kings are deep playoff team so it worked out. They just decided to accelerate process with prospects.

Especially a right handed defenceman with size.

Willander was a must for the pick.

Benson is a great talent, picking another small skilled Winger, just makes no sense for vancouver
