The more you talk about and deny Michkov the more I want him
Hawks need that mid-1st round pick.....to have 3 first round picks 2 years in a row ....think of the glory to be.

2. Use as trade chips to trade up in the 2023 draft
3. Use as trade chips to grab earlier picks in later drafts

Trade up for Andrew Cristall.
Him and Bedard will be a better duo than Panarin and Kane.

ou obvoiusly missed the start of the year google Ivan Fedotov.
Flyers drafted him had him ready to go Russia said Nyet invoked military service clause.
Just wondering how hilarious it would be if Hawks for all their back room deals drafted 5th.

In order for me: Bedard, Fantilli, Michkov.....not sure how the rest plays
It is very hard now to see Hawks not finishing dead last or 2nd last...But still a possible 1 or 2 drops if teams that finish above them in standings from top 11or top 12 lotto positions get lucky and move up 10 spots to #1 or and #2..
So considering worst case of drafting at #3orc#4 ...it comes down to Carlsson,Michkov orxWill Smith....
In the worst case at #4 ...expect that either Carlsson or Michkov goes off the board at#3..
That leaves 1 of thise two plus Will Smith to choose from..
Now we all know the issue of waiting 3 more seasons aftercthiscone to finish before Michkov might be able to comeviver fron Russia...Mightvbexabke is operative because nobody knows if current Russians draftees who have completed their current JHL team cobnpract are allowed to sign in theNHL given the suspension rules imposed on Russia by the IIHF which also agents the transfer agreement between the NHL and Russia orceven ifvtgey can still sign in tge NHL if Russia imposes some restriction until tge transfer fee forctgem is paid wgichvuscin legal limbo with the sanction of suspension.
So great risk IF there are any problems getting Mickkov to his NHLbckub in 2026/27 season..
You have to weigh All this risk vs tgectakentvyouvcan expect from him IF he arrives to pkay by 2026/27..Ifvhevusxstilk held back in Russia then you reakky blew the opportunity cost to get Carlsson or Will Smith.
Maybe you hope iif you draft at#4 that the team with pick#3 took that risk on Michkov and so do you draft Carlsson or Will Smith?
One of the issues is also a structural one.. Carlsson and Smith are Centers ...Michkov only a RW ...
Rule #1 for re-builds is to try to find a 1C to drive your top linecas you build to a contenderxagain.Oretty hardc o do without a starc2C...A winger can give you flash and showtime but hardly by himself does a winger drive a top line all by himself.
So I think from a structural view Carlsson or Smith has more value tovaxre-buildong Hawks .

So if we drafted Smith then tried a package of picks to move up to get Gabriel Perraulut who probably goes in the mid to late teens ,we woukd have a ready made dubwith already proven chemistry that works so well together.
So we shall see what happens...whether we get lucky and get Bedard or makectge best of whatever comes.

You just know Davidson has Moore circled with a raging hardon. And rightfully so, probably the best skater in the draft who also has the IQ. Imagine him with Nazar and Reichel on a line...
But no way he or Leonard make it to the Tampa pick right? I think Moore is a good bet for any potential trade ups.
Id love to grab Perron with one of the 2nds or even the Tampa 1st. Just screams winning player.
