Sooo, just doing some light reading & most sites have Fantilli as the consensus # 2. There are a good deal of writeups that say his 2 way & 200 ft play (O & D) are close to very good or in some writeups elite. Wouldn't make him head & shoulders the best consolation prize behind Bedard?

Their rankings are always out of whack, they don't mix NA and EU into one pool, and they don't provide any insight into why players are ranked a certain way.

Interesting seeing them rank Carlsson higher than Michkov. I’m guessing these rankings are based on talent, and it seems like Michkov was only slipping in mocks because of his contract/Russia situation. This ranking seems, maybe, to be telling a different story?

Also, weird to see Cristall not even top 10 among NA skaters. That seems like a bit of a miss, but maybe Cristall is being overhyped?

The wide gap between McKinnon and Jones that we see today was not as apparent to most in 2013. Iirc, there were a few outlets who preferred Jones at #1.

Pretty much no one had Draisaitl higher than CSB did.

Pretty much no one had Marner much higher than CSB did.

Their 2016 list is a mess.

Everyone was excited about the Yakupov and Vorobiev picks from what I can remember. Vorobiev actually looked pretty good for a bit but Yakupov showed nothing. What was the reason why Yakupov failed so bad?
