Totally agree; a lot of current NHL wingers played centre at lower levels and transitioned to the wing once they turned pro.Centers can play wing. Just get the high end talent here.

If Kane and Toews continue to struggle producing as you mentioned in your previous post then the Hawks will have no problem staying below ANA, SJ and AZ, who else is there to provide enough consistent offence to have these “streaks” you speak of?I like the optimism, I just don't see how the Hawks stay below ANA, SJ, and AZ in the West. CLB is ready to implode and a couple of other teams are ready to fall apart.
The Hawks are going to have some streaks picking up points. There are going to be alot of meaningless games for playoff teams the last 3 dozen games.
I hope they bottom out, but I'm not sure they'll be able to yet.
Plus, who the hell even knows how Nazar will develop.Centers can play wing. Just get the high end talent here.
You'd be talking yourself out of Nazar.Plus, who the hell even knows how Nazar will develop.
Talking yourself out of Conor Bedard because you have Frank Nazar is some odd Bowman-type stuff. Most of the time it’s best not to overthink it and just take the best player available.
If that’s the price to pay for Bedard, I’m still not seeing a problem. You'd be talking yourself out of Nazar.
Team needs all the talent at forward it can get.If that’s the price to pay for Bedard, I’m still not seeing a problem.
Maybe Mrazek was solid in Detroit and Carolina as I remembered, but he sucks now.If all else fails believe in Mrazek. In my opinion the Hawks aren’t scoring more than two goals and Mrazek isn’t giving up less than 3 for a large portion of the remaining games. Especially if 4/6 of the top lines are traded as is expected by many.
He was good for awhile. He was on some good teams too. I think more than anything injuries have diminished his ability quite a bit. He’s always had a knack for blunders when it really counted though.Maybe Mrazek was solid in Detroit and Carolina as I remembered, but he sucks now.
Especially when all these guys that are listed at 6’0” are in reality 5’10”. Kane had a good career. Crosby is under 6. So is Point and DeBrincat and Zuccarello and Caufield… Fox and Makar. Some of them obviously aren’t even pushing 5’10”.I do t understand why some people are worried about 5’10” players in juniors. Most likely will grow some.

I generally believe if they are defined by physical attributes then there’s not much else to the player. We’ve been proven so often awareness and IQ finds the adaptability to produce regardless.Height is overrated for hockey. Especially when you're talking about the difference between 5'10 and 6'.
BPA is the only way that early. If you end up with too many top 6 centers, that's a pretty good problem to have.Plus, who the hell even knows how Nazar will develop.

Completely agree. If there was ever an era for smaller hockey players, this is it. You can skate? You have a high hockey IQ? High level of skill or grit? You're probably just fine.Height is overrated for hockey. Especially when you're talking about the difference between 5'10 and 6'.
If my scouting department has a group of players in the same tier, I'm probably taking the guy with size though.Completely agree. If there was ever an era for smaller hockey players, this is it. You can skate? You have a high hockey IQ? High level of skill or grit? You're probably just fine.
But Adam Fox is better AND tallerIf my scouting department has a group of players in the same tier, I'm probably taking the guy with size though.
But in cases like DeBrincat, where he's obviously the BPA, go for it.
