Good point

He's saying that we will never have scientific data on that but the question is a good one: Did the 2020-21 OHL season miss had that much impact on the development of the players of the OHL, especially for the 02-03-04 players to explain the level of that league this season

Watched some highlights of Leonard and he looks impressive.

Sounds like a Mike Richards and looks like he might have more skill.

However, I didn't see any physicality highlights from the ones I saw, so I'm not sure if he'll be as physical.

Remember when Richards stepped up, smoked Krejci, breaking his arm and that was very well the turning point for the Flyers to overcome a 3-0 series deficit. Not sure if they were done 3-0 at that point.

On a scale of 1-10, 10 being you're running in the streets naked and dancing and 1 being you've given yourself a concussion from smacking your head against the wall in anger, how happy would you be coming out of the 1st in these past 2 years with:

Reinbacher/Hrabal
Slaf/Mesar

1. Granted, I would have taken Hutson at 26 anyway so we were VERY lucky to get him.

I just don't see an elite piece there which would be heartbreaking with a 1st and 5th overall pick.

Nobody should be happy with that light haul after two years of hardcore tanking and killing time. I have white hairs, none of these prospects project to leading the team to win a single frigging Stanley Cup.

We need protagonists, we need big time point producers, we need anchors. You know what, we need a Mats Sundin more than anything. But absent that big, steady centre I’d take an electrifying winger.

Not one of the four names there brings the juice.

Untrue. Task them with it, give them the proper motivation, and any one of them can and will bring you juice from the grocery store.

Now that I'm done being facetious, I'd say that the theoretical haul being presented in that context wouldn't be the end of the world by far. But ending up with these four players would indeed be underwhelming considering the talents that were/are available with picks we had/have.

I'd much rather we get a draft haul like the one I got with DraftSimulator's wonky list.

But wishes as nonsensical as this seldom come true, so I know better than to expect so much good from a single draft.

I would not count on it. Specifically Gajan said: "Three months after World juniors, goalie scout of Montreal came to watch my practice and game. In an interview, he started saying numbers of USA players from WJC and asking me if I know who they are and if they shoot left or right. I found it pretty comic." As I understood from the context, he found that question little bit bizarre. Obviously, Habs are looking for a goalie with a little bit of autism :)
He also said he is in very close contact with Chicago then NSH, ARI, LAK, NJD.

In draft day, I don't want to hear anything about needs.

I just want to hear about ceiling and probability of reaching it.

Not really bizarre at all. Clearly they want to know his level of preparation, if on the ice he is doing more than just reacting.

So yeah might not take the overage goalie who doesn't know and thinks it's weird to know the handedness of your opponents.
