Yeah i know its early but 2022 draft discussion started pretty quickly too last year.
So far its #1 Bedard and #2 Mitchkov but after that what are players you are interested in for the Ducks ?
I don't see Bedard falling like Wright did at all. Who will be this years Slaf and Cooley ?

Blanket warning to everyone - the season is over, the active tanking is over, and everyone needs to remember how to get along.

Polite discussions of different viewpoints is fine. Assertions as to who is a good fan, who is a bad fan, and most particularly trolling behavior is going to result in thread bans and warnings. The vast majority of posters here are great about this. There are a few of you, on both sides of this issue, who are trying to start things, and I would advise you to carefully consider if that snarky comment you just made is worth being your last post in a thread. I would advise the folks who think that making an even snarkier response to make that same assessment. Neither of your posts will be seen by anyone else for long regardless.

It is perfectly fine to not understand how anyone could root for the team to lose. It is perfectly fine to not understand how losing has strong benefits to the franchise king term. There are gaping holes in BOTH positions, that may be discussed and debated…POLITELY.

We are all Ducks fans. Time to remember that and stop being at each other’s throats.

Leo Carlsson with 8 points in 9 playoff games. IMO I would take him before Fantilli.

I’m a man of my word. We are having a HFRangers meet up the following weekend, no reason we cannot put together a HFDucks one with me picking up the tab.....

Apparently Bedard blocked a trade to the Kamloops before the deadline... he wants to be loyal and win with his less talented team, which he's somehow willing into existence. Some franchise is going to be so damn lucky.
Probably best for Zellweger since there is no way they could have gotten them both.

I know we are pretty well set up for D prospects, but does this kid not sound exactly like the type of emerging young Dman that Madden loves to invest in?

Only his third season playing the position and as a rookie in tough league, yet gains the highest praise of his processing ability and decision making. Skilled and mobile yes, but I can't state how impressive it is for a Dman this green to be most known for his brains. 9 points in his last 10 USHL games after just 16 points in his first 47 contests. Clearly finding a level of comfort.

Harvard bound (so that's scary) and shooting up the rankings late in the process while still not fully on everyone's radar. It's the Madden blueprint.

It does sound like Maddens blueprint. Depends how long he's available on the board but I think we'd definitely have interest in him.

I wonder if Verbeek will add more picks this draft by maybe taking on a cap constraint contract or trading some rights.

Defense: check
Left handed: check
Mobile: check
New to the position: check
Late riser: check
Harvard bound: check

Basically already a Duck.

The author believes his stock will rise into the top-64 (two rounds). I don't know about that. When I compare him to Jackson LaCombe, a forward turned D in high school, LaCombe's offense just jumps off of his EP page. I don't get that feel right now from Hagens. Hagens might be a longer project.

Right now, Hagens isn't ranked by Central Scouting's mid-term ranking. His defensive teammate, Jake Livanavage, is ranked 137th for NA skaters.

Livanage: 44 games, 32 points, and +20 rating
Hagens: 57 games, 25 points, and -4 rating

Hagens could be a 6th round pick or be passed over. Speak of a prosect D being passed over, D Luke Mittelstadt is looking good this year with Minnesota as a freshman.

Considering we have 3 2nd rounders, is there a chance we use some of them to go up in the draft? Even though, i dont believe in it, Pat said its all about throwing as many darts as possible.

It seems like he's really taken off after those mid term rankings came out, will be interesting to see where he lands in their final set.
