That's why we just traded 31 and 37 for one...He made right call. We don't need another Smurf in the lineup.

Cool. How about taking BPA then?1. You don't draft based on next year's draft, that's just ridiculous.
2. Cam Allen, Theo Lindstein, Charlie Stramel, Kasper Halttunen and Cal Ritchie were all on many top 15s before this season started. Draft projections always change a lot as time progresses.
He gives me Maxim Afinogenov vibes...not impressed. Plus Brière was towering over him. Bad look lol.- wait till you see him play in the NHL - he is putting up better numbers and other stats than past Russian players who have played in nhl should add and present
You just pick Gaudreau?.LoL there are many many top players who havnt won a cupThis board is living in the dreamworld that Michkov is a 100pt player and the savior and yadda yadda. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. But guess who else is a small 100pt player, Johnny Gaudreau. You ever see that guy lead a team to a ship? Nope.
Settle down, wait and see.
BPA is a funny idea.Cool. How about taking BPA then?
Habs have a total shutdown D pair, defensive core that can skate well, they have size, have a future PP QB in Hutson, and D who play highly physical. Reinbacher, Guhle, Hutson, Xhekaj, Mailloux, and Barron, all under 23I don’t know if I’d go as far to say I’m content with our D core moving forward because it’s such a giant question mark, but this was a much needed addition. It was so thin going into this draft.
Have you watched him play? Brier looked skinny next to himHe gives me Maxim Afinogenov vibes...not impressed. Plus Brière was towering over him. Bad look lol.
One of the main reasons was he might not be in NHL for 3 yearsBPA is a funny idea.
Ask every single team who their BPA is and you'll get different answers.
I was high on Michkov like everyone else, but 6 teams passed on a generational talent for a reason, whatever that reason is.
4 of them had more or less equal but less risky options available. That just leaves Arizona. BPA is deemed by consensus. No one had Michkov outside their top 5, not even on Bob Mackenzie's list.BPA is a funny idea.

elite winger unidimensional forward are not as valuable then #1 C and # 1 DmenI put elite F or 1C. An elite F was available at 5.
Too many people talking like Michkov is guaranteed to be Patrick Kane and Reinbacher is guaranteed to be a boring 2-3 D like Craig Rivet. This board is living in the dreamworld that Michkov is a 100pt player and the savior and yadda yadda. If Kucherov was that good he wouldn't have went 58 OV to TAMPANHL.com thinks Hutson and Reinbacher have top 2 potential. Although michkov is good, if he was that good he wouldn’t have went 7 OV to PHILLY
Could be. It also could be other things. We've heard a bunch of stuff lately about Michkov. Could it be that perhaps there was a real fire under that smoke? One of the main reasons was he might not be in NHL for 3 years
Tell that to Tampa with Kucherov, Minnesota with Kaprizov or Chicago with Kane.elite winger unidimensional forward are not as valuable then #1 C and # 1 Dmen
Was he like ribiero?Could be. It also could be other things. We've heard a bunch of stuff lately about Michkov. Could it be that perhaps there was a real fire under that smoke?
Nobody here knows.
I mean it was just an example, Connor McDavid and Draisaitl don't have cups. Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner don't have cups. 4 of the top offensive players in the league today. All of them are 100 point scorers. None of them can get it done in the playoffs. Common denominator? Their teams have shit all for D.You just pick Gaudreau?.LoL there are many many top players who havnt won a cup
Only 1 team can win it in a year
What Minnesota have win ?Tell that to Tampa with Kucherov and Minnesota with Kaprizov.
Why would they say that?Too many people talking like Michkov is guaranteed to be Patrick Kane and Reinbacher is guaranteed to be a boring 2-3 D like Craig Rivet.
Minnesota is a garbage team being dragged to relevancy solely by Kaprizov. Chicago won with Kane as their best player. Kucherov may not be the most valuable piece on Tampa but I'd sure as hell take him on my team when there's no Point/Hedman available at 5. Reinbacher isn't Hedman level (even as a prospect). What Minnesota have win ?
Kucherov is surrounded by Point/Hedman who are in my book more valuable. Just look at what Tampa look like without Hedman/Cernak this year in the playoffs
Chicago still had that top #1 C in Toews and that top #1 Dmen in Keith with a solid top 4 of Keith/Seabrook/Hjarmarlsson/OduyaMinnesota is a garbage team being dragged to relevancy solely by Kaprizov. Blindly LoL - hall of famers havnt won cup on Good teams - only 1 team wins -I mean it was just an example, Connor McDavid and Draisaitl don't have cups. There's more to building a winner than blindly picking skill no matter what. If that was the case then Andrew Cristall would have been a top 10 pick. He's available tomorrow.
Michkov is seen as a generational talent, which isn't the case with Carlsson and Fantilli as much as I like them, and it's certainly not Smith's case.4 of them had more or less equal but less risky options available. That just leaves Arizona. BPA is deemed by consensus. No one had Michkov outside their top 5, not even on Bob Mackenzie's list.
Yes, I'm not saying 1Cs and 1Ds aren't valuable. I said you need an elite F to win.Chicago still had that top #1 C in Toews and that top #1 Dmen in Keith with a solid top 4 of Keith/Seabrook/Hjarmarlsson/Oduya
So far he is projecting to be a generational winger if there is one. Every year he’s broken nearly every scoring record he could’ve broken.People on this board keep calling Michkov generational lol.
Kutch has 160 playoff pointsMinnesota is a garbage team being dragged to relevancy solely by Kaprizov. Chicago won with Kane as their best player.
