At some point the coaching staff also needs to let the kid play. Relay the play over the headset to Fields and lay off the "watch out for this, this and this", if they are saying that after the playcall.

At some point, you have to trust the film study during the week. Or ramp that part up if he's missing it on the field during the games.

Fields missed throws that he should have pulled the trigger on. This isn't OSU where guys are free before you release the ball, Have to make that decision to throw sooner.

It really doesn't matter, last time I checked I think Mike Tomczak was the most successful OSU QB in the NFL

I'm not sure how much has changed in 2 years, but last I saw of Jake Browning he was unplayable.

Watching him vs. Kellen Mond battle battle for the backup job in 2021 camp was so painful that Vikings brought back Sean freaking Mannion (who then in turn was so bad the following year battling Mond that both were cut and Nick Mullens was acquired)
