He's another moron. Looks at a pitch over the middle and then swings at one outside.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news: all of our highly touted prospects are going to be like this. "Striking out doesn't matter" is an organization-wide approach.

The pitching is tough in the playoffs, I get that. The Astros aren't exactly averaging ten a game here.

But you clearly see the difference between a lineup that adapts to tough pitching and gets enough across to win, and a lineup that isn't an MLB lineup against good pitching.

Don't bring in a sinker pitcher like Lo,lets bring in a guy with a near 5 era.Boone has completely lost his mind.Count me on board the Fire Boone Train

That Cashman press conference this week when he and Boone are back should be gold.
I don't think Boone is surviving this. Its 5 years in a row of playoff embarrassments

Not a baseball fan but this sounds like complaints about finesse hockey teams in the playoffs playing against tighter checking.

You're not far off. The Yankees get by on talent but you need a strategy to beat good pitching.

The Yankees front office is extremely arrogant and it emanates throughout. They don't think they need an approach to beat good teams. They're the Yankees and they'll just bomb their way to victory. It's been six years.

They're already complaining about lucky hits and the wind. They've already convinced themselves before the series is even over that it was just "puck luck" again, but with a ball.

I hate the Astros so much. There is no shame in losing to a team that's better than you but the Yankees turn the losing into an embarrassment every single time.

If you want to continue to draw hockey parallels, the Yankees aren't even in the playoffs if they didn't start like 48-16. Their starting pitching had an ERA below 2 at that point. Their starting pitching is good, but nobody does that.

The Yankees were fooled by their own hot goaltending.

The Astros will win the World Series and they deserve it, but there's limits. The Mariners were in every game.

They'll play a good team whether it's the Phillies or Padres and a good team will crucify a pitcher like Javier. He has nothing.

Judge doesn't walk in the playoffs because he knows he's gonna stand on first and go nowhere.

He would be better in a decent lineup with some support.

Yankees make a living hitting against bad pitching. Either good pitchers that have an off game in July, or bottom of the rotation guys on poor teams that you don’t see in the ALCS onward.

Like clockwork, once the playoffs come around they go ice cold against good pitching. And the Astros only get tougher once their starter leaves the game which is the Yankees kryptonite.

Girardi lost in 7 to them, then Boone lost in 6 to them, and now they will get swept. They have gone backwards.

You need situational hitting. This team treats each at bat likes it's in a vacuum. HR or bust.

This team desperately needs LeMahieu and another 2-3 clones of him. Contact hitters. Slap hitters. Players that understand baseball fundamentals and how to manufacture runs without a Home Run.

Time to let the kids play.
