Home advantage isn’t important in the NHL? Last change is a big deal, as evidenced by the Rangers-Hurricanes series last year.

In the MLB though, yeah I agree.
What I mean is that in the NBA the home team wins a 7 game series about 80% of the time. For MLB and NHL you have to go to sometihng like best of 50 for the home team to have an 80% chance of winning.

It's not that it isn't important. It just probably isn't worth 82 ass games.

Yes, to your point, the home team started 6-0 in that series but it's always 3 and 3 regardless. The Hurricanes played all season for that one last game at home and it was over in the first period.
