Shocking that a 36 year old is performing like a 36 year old. It was a dumb acquisition.
He had a career 210 batting average when the yanks got him. I fail to understand why anyone thought he would be better than that. To be fair, he's a lot worse in NY than he was in Texas.

I was talking about Donaldson but Gallo was an equally stupid move.

Has there ever been a player like Ohtani, with the ability to be an everyday hitter and then be a starting pitcher? I can't think of any.

Aguilar flies out to end the game and Marte goes over and hugs him and Escobar comes in and ribs him too LMAO

Who knows where Aguilar ends up, might be the last time he sees him this year. Water is wet, the sky is blue, and the Marlins are going to strip it down again.

Mike Hampton probably could have done it. A lot of players probably had the talent but made a choice to go one way or the other. Who knows if Ohtani would have had the chance to be a 2-way player if he came up in the US.

Josh Donaldson is lucky Joey Gallo was here for the first 100 game of the season to get no heat, that ends Tuesday.
He sucks and is a detestable person .
I never like him still don’t and I never wanted him.
Is your typical Cashman lazy move - That he’s gotten away with more than Glenn say they’re ever did.

He's hitting over 300,is top 5 in hits, just walked 7 times in a 4 game series and has an obp over .400...you have some crazy standards I guess
He’s only walked as a Yankee missed an easy ball in LF today .
Has at least 5 Ks

As I said , unimpressive start .

Hoping for the best

All we heard is soto and wound up with a door prize .

We heard Castillo and never entered.

This isn’t the year to Dollar store shopping.

This is the year you make sure you win the fkn WS before the SchMets do … before we get beaten again by the Astros …

Don’t get sentimental

Cashman has failed thus far - he’s got 48 hours to fix a LOT.

He's been okay, not super good, but far from super bad. Also, that was not an easy ball in LF today.

It's amazing he only has 53 walks this season. That number should go up a lot over the next 2 months.
It's because umpires are incapable of adjusting their box to match Judge's height.

If you watch his at bats, umps call pitches to his shins or bottom of his knee caps as strikes all the time.

All because he's 6' 7"

Robos umps pls

I’ll say this - and it disgusts me .

If deGrom is 100%

And the Mets land Nate Eovaldi who’s a BIGTIME performer - they are the favorites to win the World Series.

My comment was more why is he being pitched to. He led the league in walks as a rookie for a reason but he's not even leading the team.

My bad. Read it wrong.

But also...depends on when they reach Judge in the order? He has DJ and Benintendi surrounding him now, so is it really wise to just walk him and let that many get on base?

bern is busy, so just a brief blurb for today

1. Bosox have to be concerned about Bogarts this yr, Devers after next season, walking for nothing.
2. Don't remember the exact quote verbatim but few wks ago MLB broadcast Yanks at Fenway, someone said something to effect that Stanton is best slugger ever at Fenway, better than Ruth, Gehrig, etc.
Stanton is not cheap and is getting up there but barring injury certain to deliver 4-5 really good seasons, can always DH as he slows down.
certainty of Stanton half dozen-ish yrs >> stars walk for free

3. Yanks want to parlay this to advantage so no deal.
Hopefully Gallo goes in separate deal to MIL.
NY unloads Hicks + Chapman
Other than Bradley(Jr.) all boston OFs are slow. Hurts their def -> pitching. So they take Hicks and we can eat a mil or so per if nec.
Chapman unfortunately a head case.
Still has lightning in his arm, Boston will take and flip

4. deal!
Sox get Stanton, Hicks, Chapman
Yanks get Devers, Bogarts, Jeter Downs, Bobby Dalbec, next 2 Red Sox first round selections in MLB draft

--------------
Yanks then flip Devers ++ to Nats for Soto

The least significant problem with this scenario is that you can't trade draft picks in MLB.
