This Yankees lineup is a joke.being shutout by a pitcher with an era over 18 in his last 4 starts.brutally comical shit

This is what happens when the entire lineup has been built around home run hitters for the past decade.

Team legit hasn't had a leadoff hitter since Brett Gardner was in his prime. Which wasn't a super long prime before he started swinging for the fences too.

No one on base, no one advances runners, just sitting back and swinging for the fences. 2 strike approach is dead. Top of the order doesn't get on, middle of the order is 1000% reliant on Aaron Judge and unable to hit for average or walk otherwise, bottom of the order is generally a joke.

LeMahieu was a batting champion when he came here and now he's another one who can't hit for average and strikes out >100 times a year (or paces for that, since he can't stay healthy).

Seems automatic when they give up 4 or more runs, they lose.

Nightly Yankees embarrassment just dropped, hopefully Ohtani is okay, only reason to watch these two awful teams.

Ohtani is the best, get this guy on a playoff team this season. MLB needs it.
And not the Yankees.

1) LMAO @ the idea of Hal spending $600m on an extension.

2) The Yankees are not an Ohtani away from contending. They're two Ohtani's, getting Judge back, and a Johnny Damon away from contending.

I sure hope Cash fires Boone tonight and also isn't foolish enough to not sell at the deadline.this team is toast and clearly going through the motions.George must be rolling over in his grave

Salvador Perez name linked to the Yankees and I don't know why. This team isn't a Perez away from even a playoff spot.Hal just said he wants to get under the luxury tax,so I can't see them buying big at all..more like shopping Torres and DJ and maybe some pitching..who the hell knows with this club anymore

Sorry folks, spent too much time on the soccer subforum today. When one wants a manager or player sacked or sold, it's common to say "So and so out". Like "Tuchel out".

We can only be so lucky. This guy mind-bogglingly seems to have a lifetime contract.

George would have wiped out the entire front office and coaching staff if any of his teams played like this

Truly embarrassing

If the ALCS last year didn't get the front office to react nothing will.

They see it as being one step away, but as I've talked about with the Rangers, how you lose is significant.

I've never seen a team so effortlessly swatted aside and they didn't deserve to get that far.

With the emergence of Texas and Baltimore, the AL isn't as soft as it was.

The Yankees are getting whooped by bad teams now, just wait for them to start playing in Division games again. Boone just has no answers either.

I ultimately blame Hal. He didn’t do 7 years ago what needed to be done, and instead doubled down and extended Cashman. They don’t scout well, they don’t develop well, their signings and trades are bad. If it wasn’t for Judge and Cole where would the Yankees be? Would they have even made the playoffs last year?

I mean... how did you not know this was coming? This Yankees team sucks.

They've been built the same way, give or take for 10 years now. It doesn't work. The entire executive staff needs to be replaced. It's become a bloated bureaucracy... the only thing they will understand is falling revenue.

I haven't watched for seasons now. You know they aren't winning anything. Why waste your time?
