He's toast. Can't think of one Severino memory in all of his time here and it feels like he's been here an eternitySevy needs to get his head out of his ass
Easiest decision to move on from him. Cole Rodon Cortes Schmidt and maybe they can sign someone between Cortes/Schmidt.He's toast. Can't think of one Severino memory in all of his time here and it feels like he's been here an eternity
Yeah I only watch because Gary, Keith, and Ron are equally as entertaining as baseball itself. The Mets getting hot is not going to give me hope-- I believe they are too fundamentally flawed.
That said, this is much more fun.
I'm conflicted because they've been mediocre to bad for so much of the season I've convinced myself they genuinely suck, and that all they're doing is tricking themselves into standing pat or even buying when they should sell.Mets are fun again.
Because he's hurt most of the time and when he's not he's garbage. He's toast. Can't think of one Severino memory in all of his time here and it feels like he's been here an eternity
Alvarez again. Absolute f***ing beast. It’s nice to finally have a good catcher.

But then at the same time, they ARE built to win now. I mean we can argue if they're truly capable of it, but the team as constructed is one that would theoretically win the next year or two. So, even if they're not truly contenders (I know, crazy to talk about when we're 5 games under), it's probably good that we're at least giving it a run.
Just don't do anything silly at the TDL. I don't mind moves like the deal for the reliever the other day where they basically just bought him. That kind of stuff is fine, but they can't give up any prospect depth.
Alvarez and Piazza have totally different swings, but the one thing I see in Alvarez that reminds me of Piazza is that he has basically no leg kick. Of course Alvarez is max effort, almost violent in his swing, whereas Piazza was effortless, like he was hitting a short chip shot.In a struggle season like this it’s nice to at least enjoy watching your catcher hit cruise missile HRs instead of watching Tomas Nido swing a pool noodle.
This Yankees offense is absolutely embarrassing.Rizzo,DJ, Stanton,Donaldson all look cooked
Hard to play for a 3 run homer when few people get on base.If you told me that the man with the highest ERA in the league would get through 8 scoreless innings with only one hit against this godforsaken team, I would have laughed at you and then told you, with a straight face, "no shit he will"
Rodon looked fine
It is totally within the possibility that the Mets cranky veterans just needed some extra time to warm up/wake up.Mets with 6 wins in July. After 7 in June. 7!!
That was me, except I also got lower scores on exams. It is totally within the possibility that the Mets cranky veterans just needed some extra time to warm up/wake up.
All they have to do is be the cool kid who doesn't do HW/any work all school year but show's up and gets 97 on the final. We all have at least 1-2 of those in our lives.
Hey if it got you to be happy/healthy/wealthy in present, it's all good. I know plenty of people who half-assed HS/college and ended up just ok, and some who took the academic pretty seriously but up until now, have not reached their potential. That was me, except I also got lower scores on exams.
