How good do you guys think Volpe will be? Really want to add him but I’m in a 8man leauge and already have Anderson & Baez at SS.

I’m newer to baseball my player evaluations are poor

I'd grab him in a keeper league but it's tough to say if you're not in one.

Easy to see him being fantasy gold though. Walks, Homers, doubles and steals and he'll probably end up having eligibility at both MIF positions.

I haven’t watched spring training but the new rules are definitely speeding up the game. I mean, 24 SO between both teams also helping, lol.

I guess I'm okay with the pace of play rules but my god some of the shit is wayyyyy too discretionary and makes no f***ing sense whatsoever.

Only a few games took longer than 3 hours and two of those were “slugfests”.

That’s a good start.

Yankee game ended before 4. Most 1 PM starts end around 5, and Jack Curry is still on over analyzing everything until Ranger pregame is over.

Very Webb Friendly

Webb is nasty enough on his own. Give him 4 inches off the plate when a RH is up and the fact that they scored at all is a minor miracle.

I didn't watch the game but if he's poppin the mitt, it's deceptive.

Sterling was practically giddy at the time of the game yesterday, the broadcasters are going to love getting home the 30-45 min earlier, and in the playoffs it’ll likely be an hour difference and if it’s Sox-Yankees maybe more.

I know the Mets' hapless offense is exacerbating things, but I honestly feel like things move too quickly now. I might be in the minority there, but I always kind of appreciated and enjoyed the more leisurely pace of baseball. I think the rules are well-intentioned and are definitely effective to that purpose, but if they could just like, I don't know, add a couple extra seconds to the pitch clock or something. Everything feels rushed.

I'm sure I'll adjust to it, but that's not really the point--a big part of the enjoyment of baseball, for me, was the fact that it WAS played at a slower pace. It's like if they tried to dramatically speed up the pace of play in golf. I wouldn't enjoy that as a player and I wouldn't enjoy it on TV. There's something to be said for a sport to be able to simultaneously entertain you and relax you.

I think this is fair but I didn't find it to be so cramped in spring.
