Don’t get how anyone thought this team was ever comparable to 98 even when they were on fire in the beginning of the year. People who thought that lied to themselves to feel better because everyone knew deep down they’d collapse.

99 wins and a series win is about the ceiling of this team …

Truth be told - breaking this team down after Judge it’s straight pedestrian.

The pitching staff doesn’t boast a 14 game winner .
There’s no closer .

Every trade deadline acquisition flopped and got injured.

And don’t forget that massive mid season slide … right after King & Stanton went down .. LLLLL followed by LLLL … it was unbelievable that slide - exposing us as not good enough.

There was nothing Boone could do here .

You can’t get blood from a stone .

Well now that that's over...

If Judge goes I go.

You can write that down.
You’re not going to be a Yankees fan if Judge leaves? Why? He hasn’t even won a pennant personally I’m not that attached to him and he proved this October he doesn’t deserve the money he probably wants.

Because "we're just gonna let our best player go, because I'm Brian Cashman; God invented me on the first day and I invented baseball on the second day" would be indicative of an organizational attitude that I no longer want any part of. One final knife in the ribs from a team that has no interest in winning a World Series, only in money and fellating themselves over their savvy internal budget broke ass Tampa Bay Rays ass poverty ass roster decisions.

f*** the Yankees.

Judge is just the symptom. A big symptom. The last one I'm willing to put up with. But it's Hal and Cashman driving me away from this team.

I think Aaron Judge is a California guy …

I think we’re forgetting Yankee doctors misdiagnosed him last year and got him hurt …

Bring booed didn’t sit well with him …

He’s lost every big series he’s been in …

He’s 30

He’s 60-40 gone … moving towards 70-30.

He may request a new manager in order to stay - you never know.

The past 13 Yankees seasons:

◽️2010: Lost ALCS
◽️2011: Lost ALDS
◽️2012: Lost ALCS
◽️2013: Missed playoffs
◽️2014: Missed playoffs
◽️2015: Lost WC
◽️2016: Missed playoffs
◽️2017: Lost ALCS
◽️2018: Lost ALDS
◽️2019: Lost ALCS
◽️2020: Lost ALDS
◽️2021: Lost WC
◽️2022: Lost ALCS

More: Astros-Yankees ALCS Game 4

Something has to change ….

What’s the consistent there?

A top organization in the sport, which the Yankees love to cosplay as, would have extended him last year.

Say what you will about the Rangers, and hell, James Dolan too, there's no f***ing mistake about the Rangers being a world class organization that signs stars and where stars want to be.

The Rangers might be dumb, archaic, and generally irritating, but they never made me feel like I'm rooting for the Arizona Coyotes or the Sacramento Kings. The Yankees have made me feel that way since the 2017 deadline when they looked me dead in the eye and said "we can't afford a World Series" because their revenue wasn't quite half a billion.

The only thing that is going to (unfortunately) save the FO's jobs is Judge hitting 62 this season. Heck, I feel like their jobs were safe even if Judge didn't get there.

Boone, Cashman, and the Steinbrenners all need to go.

Judge is covering up several gaping wounds. As much as I enjoy having him on the team he's also somewhat of a barrier to the team moving on, unfortunately. It's going to hurt to see him go - especially if it's to a team in East, but almost nothing in life gets better before it gets worse first.

Ideally I would do everything possible to retain him and try to move Stanton and all of the other deadweight on this team (Donaldson, IKF, etc...). I know it won't happen but it's nice to dream

They don't need to rebuild.

They just need to actually try, maybe just one f***ing offseason, to get better instead of blaming trash cans or the weather.

You still believe its up to Cashman if Judge stays or goes?

I've been screaming since the 2017 series about the Astros 0-1 meatball that they love to go to and Harrison Bader actually f***ing noticed it.

Give him a one million year contract.

His next at-bat, the first pitch was two feet out of the zone because the Astros knew that he knew. Baseball is wild when both sides have a gameplan.

Get rid of Cashman.

Blow up the entire coaching staff.

This team needs a breath of fresh air.

As a casual Yankee fan, at some point I’d like to see these prospects play that the Yankees tout as the reason they don’t go after the big fish. (I know it’s probably more likely they don’t go after those players for money reasons)

The team’s player development doesn’t inspire confidence though

one of the reasons they didn’t go after Harper cause they had Clint Fraizer who was supposed to be the next Bryce Harper with his bat speed, he didn’t work out

Andujar and Torres were supposed to be the left side of the infield for the next decade, they didn’t work out.

So let’s see what these guys like Volpe and Pereza got, I don’t wanna see some journeyman bums playing at these positions if these prospects are the next greatest thing since sliced bread

I think Boone is toast and thats a good thing.

Cashman's got a lifetime contract. Hes the bigger issue.

- Refuses to go after bigger names (if you think ownership has everything to do with this, fine.)
- Refuses to deal prospects (even B level ones) for cost controlled names
- Refuses to give prospects that he hoards an opportunity to play.
