:dunno:

I honestly didn't hate the trade.

It didn't work out. The problem has been stapling those two to the lineup no matter what because Cashman never admits mistakes.
Donaldson is 36 and hit .222 and .247 his last two seasons. That is not a guy we should have been looking to acquire. Gleyber is another guy I'd like to see in the rear view. He's a dumb player.

The catchers spot is 1-27 in the playoffs, hooray for defense, but that’s hilarious, even with how bad catchers are in general hitting.

He got on base a ton, even in his bad seasons.

He decided just this past winter that he has no interest in walking anymore.

I'm willing to just chalk that up to "that happened." It's a small sample.

Who's available that's better than Trivino?

Not sure how MLB could look at that and come away with him being safe. I get you have to be 100% sure and I’m 100% sure he was out.

That’s actually really sad because I loved him in 2019. What happened to him and Andujar who was a monster in 18?
They learned the Yankees hitting approach of "hit caribou hard enough caribou fall over"

Donaldson keeps pretending those aren't strikes but they are. That's the second time he struck out looking at the same low strike and the second time he's acted like it wasn't strike three.

Nah the first one was all the way ass out of the zone

But they have been calling it

It really wasn't "all the way ass out of the zone" unless we're talking about different pitches. It barely touched the bottom of the zone but it touched it. Darling said "one seam" caught the zone. Regardless, as you said, they've been calling it and given he just looked at another one that definitely was a low strike I'm inclined to give Donaldson zero benefit of the doubt.

Out of everyone coming up this inning, IKF had by far the best chance of getting on.

Naturally, Boone pinch hits for him.

Now Carpenter will strike out on three pitches and Trivino, 0-for-the-universe, leads off the 9th.

You love to see it.

Darling is drunk. That ball is low.

But yes, the strikezone has been gigantic the entire series and they've been consistent about it.
