KC - Vilardi - Ehlers
Perfetti - Names - Iafallo
Nino - Lowes - Apples
Forth line . . . .

That top line should generate some offense
The second will suffer but only until 55 is back - more defensive that maybe we want, but safe.
Leave the third to continue to take on the hard minutes
The 4th will continue to do their thing

Agree 100% Valardi in center is key to it all.

Bones has said vilardi won't be center so unfortunately we will be trying to win 1-0

Yeah, Bones likes to cement guys into their rolls and Vilardi has not played center here other than a few faceoffs - at least not that I can recall.
But if we're going to throw out suggestions, this is what I might try.

Was looking at this in another thread, but may be relevant here

Using KCs injury as a demarcation point league ranks in gf/60 at 5v5 and all strengths.

Beg of the year- Dec 10
17th, 14th

KC Injury
2nd, 8th (pp woes)

Jan 15 onward (kc returns, monahan trade)
31st in both.

A couple players for an extended period of time is a slump. An entire fwd group though :dunno: to go from best to worst while a presumably better roster, I think it's a chemistry or linemates mix problem.

Also, there have been a few comments on like PB perfetti or benching him. For who? Gus would likely be the guy slotting in or Iafallo being promoted up.... I really don't think either of those are the answer.

I’m not sure why you would blame Connor for Perfetti, Ehlers, Namestnikov, Lowry and Iafallo scoring 2 goals combined in a month…

Maybe it’s just because hockey is a dumb sport that relies on the puck bouncing the right way, and the Jets shot 6% in all situations, 2nd worse in the league for that period, including 20 actual goals on 34 expected goals.

Which puts him at 12th in scoring at all strengths, 18th at 5 on 5.

2nd in pts/60 all strengths though, but much smaller sample having only played 6 games with us.
I was responding on goals since Jan. 1 which puts him tied for 3rd in 6 games.

Sounds like Ehlers has some nagging injury and isnt at practice today. They expect him to play tomorrow. I'd rather make 100% sure he doesnt aggrevate it, whatever it is. But i guess many have some stuff at this part of the season. How do we line up without him

Historically The Jets doctors have been very conservative with not rushing players back from injury. The Jets contract with some of the top doctors in the province so I wouldn’t worry about them needlessly risking injury.

If Chevy picks up a winger like Tarasenko...
Perfetti Scheif Volare
Nino Names Ehlers
KFC Monahan Tarasenko?
Iafallo/Barron Lowry Apples

Perfetti can’t be on the 1st line. He’s barely doing enough to justify the minutes he is getting as it is.

Tarasenko has fallen off quite a bit, I would not slot him in with KFC and Monohan. But I do believe KFC and Monohan needs to be tried together
Doesn’t he have the same amount of points as Ehlers and KFC?

Bones has an excellent chance to get three scoring lines but he probably won't.
My lineup in no order...

Perfetti Scheif Vilardi
Ehlers Names Nino
KC Monahan Toffoli
Iafallo Lowry Apples
That's one #1 line and two #2 lines and a 3rd line.

JMo DD
Dillon Pionk
Sammy Miller

Bones' most probable lineup...

KC Scheif Vilardi
Ehlers Monahan Toffoli
Nino Lowry Apples
Barron Names Iafallo

JMo DD
Dillon Pionk
Sammy Miller

Move Pionk to 3rd pair, eject AHLAppleton and keep the Perfetti-Names-Iafallo line:

KC Scheif Vilardi
Ehlers Monahan Toffoli
Nino Lowry Barron
Perfetti Names Iafallo
AHLappleton

Jmo DD
Dillion Miller
SamB Pionk

Man, you almost don't want to break up toffoli, Monahan iafallo. But what do you do when vilardi is back?
You push Iafallo down. It is great that you can plug him higher up in the lineup as needed, but Vilardi is more of a true top 6 player. Having this type of forward depth will serve us very well IMO.

Yup, but who actually knows when that will actually happen. It's starting to sound an awful lot like Ehlers before he had to go get surgery last year.

I honestly think the biggest issue with the roster will be the coach. He just can’t get out of his own way with his decisions sometimes.
