Leafs goin in that hard should force Boston, tampa, carolina , panthers, penguins, capitals and devils hand.

Islanders added horvatt
Leafs added ROR + Acciari
Rangers added tarasenko

Teams in the east gunna need to add

I'd put his value at roughly a late 1st rounder + perhaps small adds. But if moving Henrique, it would be preferable to shop in the other team's prospects section for some NHL ready talent that would find more immediate opportunity here.
100% agree.

I’d hope to aim at good forward prospect + conditional 2nd

The dream scenario would be to land Nikishin from the Canes but I think he's probably developed to a level where they don't give him up for short term gain.

Carolina is generally very stingy about giving up prospects or draft picks. Colorado is my dark horse .destination
Unfortunately they don’t have a ton to choose from outside of picks.

agree tho carolina generally does bargain bin shopping…. Guess we’ll see they have a lot to choose from and they have a good prospect pool but not a ton of room for them at pro level.

I have been a big Comtois advocate but after the scratching and Eakins comments, perhaps it would make sense to flip him for Poolparty... I thought that'd be overpayment on our part as recent as a month ago. If it somehow happens, wouldn't be against it anymore.

I’d flip comtois for poolparty or kravstov.

I think pulj still has top 6 upside, like comtois but he just kinda wore out his time here.

I'm all for trading Comtois for Puljujarvi, don't think the Rangers would deal Kravtsov for him. Not even sure if the Oilers would move Pulju for him, not sure that would clear enough money for them, which seems to be the main motivator in a Puljujarvi trade. Forget what you guys think of Comtois's upside for a bit and understand that this dude in all likelihood isn't back next season as I have a very hard time seeing PV giving $2.5M to someone who isn't producing and got called out by the coach, so his value is sinking rapidly and we're going to either take the best deal we can or lose him for nothing. Trading him for Puljujarvi is trading a guy we aren't going to bring back for someone we might, either way we won't really lose.

If Poolparty can't figure it out playing with the best player of all time... we think he will figure it out here of all places? I'd prefer Kravtsov. I see Puljujarvi as Max Jones comparable at this point.

I just don’t have any interest in Puljujarvi at all. He’s gotten so much opportunity with world class players and has failed, he’s not going to do anything here. He’s a bust. He could maybe be a 4th line 2 way winger

Kravtsov, sure. I’d take a flier on his skill any day

I'd do Comtois for Kravstov but not Pulj. I'd take a flyer on Pulj if he was waived, but I have more faith in Comtois becoming something than him. I really want to see Comtois with a different coach. I still think he can be a top 9 forward, but hope is definitely fading.

Eh I like Pulj I think at worst he’s a 3rd liner that can chip in offensively. Maybe your right about not moving comtois for him but if he’s waived I’d 100% grab him

I imagine rangers would want more for kravstov

Kravstov
For
Comtois + thrun?

Yeah don’t think a Kravtsov for Comtois is enough. Rangers need an upgrade in their bottom 6. Need a guy who brings grit , can bring a little offense, and play in a middle six role if needed. Their current 4th line is kinda meh.

Pretty much

Statistically I think Henrique is better player over last 2 seasons…. And you get him for an extra year.

But people were always going to go high on ROR due to his playoff history

That's Rico playing on a rebuild team. Imagine the value he brings to a playoff team full of talent. See Lindholm with Boston, Rakell with Pitt, and Manson with Colorado.

In terms of trade value, Comtois > Puli. Neither has played great, but Puli has been in a much better situation and failed. Puli also has a worse contract. I'd grab Puli as a waiver claim, but I think Comtois has better value around the league.

Supposedly the NYR want a second or third round pick for Krav. If the price is a third, then I think Krav for comtois/thrun is an overpayment by the ducks. But maybe it doesn't matter.

So you kinda described comtois…. Lol

And that’s why I added thrun

LOL, I kinda described what Comtois is supposed to be. I would love a swap but don’t think the other fans would be satisfied. I think both players need new scenery and a new coach, no question.

Comtois has more of a track record in the league than Kravtsov, but Kravtsov has more skill and higher potential. So that’s why I think there could be a stalemate.

If that's the work ethic as per Eakins comments and some rumors, then a different coach can only do so much

Supposedly the NYR feel there top 9 is set and don't see Krav as a fit on the 4th line (and Krav is not happy with that role). I think the same logic applies to Comtois - doubt NYR want him to play on the bottom line where he'd be unhappy anyway.

Rangers need to upgrade this guy…

Heck, Derek Grant would be a nice upgrade. Lol. Kravtsov is not a 4th line type player, and now with Tarasenko there, it makes it even harder to crack the Top 9.
