It’s probably better we avoided Kravtsov. It would a little risk high reward but he has Lias Andersson 2.0 vibes.
Same could be said about Eeli Tolvanen.... These are the exact type players we should be taking risks on... They are in the age group of our young players but not 18-19 year olds. Instead of Megna and Leason we should be aiming for all the offensive potential players we can at this point. We literally need so many things.

You do realize you proved my point. Megna and Leason are waiver wire pickups. We could easily waive them if we wanted to, but we don't as per Verbeek and haven't. It's accurate that there is no movement because of the lack of movement. Regenda could have been brought up already, but hasn't. Grimaldi could be signed to an NHL-contract and be promoted to the NHL club, but hasn't.

Please elaborate on this then if i am agreeing with you, this is saying absolutely NOTHING in many words. Just because PV hasn't called up Regenda or signed Grimaldi (which i disagree with anyway) doesn't mean he doesn't see many of these players on the roster as moveable.

I have no idea what point you're trying to make, but i'm responding to you saying that "we don't have the ability to bring up players as we please" as that is inaccurate.

Hm, that price was probably close to what Henrique would have brought. Maybe we would have gotten a little more due to position flexibility and if we retained 50%

I mean, even if we end up lucking out and landing Bedard, our full D is still two-three years away at the bare minimum. Barring competent stopgap signings in the offseason(s), we're going to be pretty bad next year and possibly the year after too.

Not number one draft pick bad, but probably bottom 10 bad regardless.
If we land Bedard the rebuild will go into hyper drive before we need to pay him 12+ million

Could see those 2nd rounders being used to acquire NHLers at the draft if we land 1OA. It's a benefit of the lottery being months prior to the draft.

Tbh if its pnly a 2nd and in 2024, I'd much rather just keep Rico. No doubt Rico is worth more because of the things you mentioned, but yeah the price might not he a 1st and I just don't know anymore...

I think it’s fair to say that they might be respectably a playoff bubble team in 2-3M years instead of 4-5, but I wouldn’t expect much more than that. You want to wait for the kids around him to develop, not get yourself into cap hell overpaying players like Lucic.

Nurse deal ruined any chance of depth in Edmondson.

That’s what I’m saying. It won’t go from bottom feeder to contender but it will be influxed with supporting crew faster imo…. High end team by the third year of his ELC

Klingberg has 8 points in his last 8 games including a goal last night. No way they cannot get a good return for him with salary retained. Would maybe sit him the last two games before the deadline.

Then what? Have an even worse defensive core? I don’t see Verbeek making many moves at all. Trading Klinger and Kulikov, (while they both may have some value), would set us back even more

I would prefer to keep Kulikov over Shatty. Klingberg signed a one year deal and don’t think it was expected he would extend.
