Benson injured yesterday early in the game and is not expected to return at all this year...don't know what it is, just wondering if this hurts his draft status at all.

Sounds like a shoulder or collarbone injury. He was seen wearing a sling after the game. Got hit from behind by a plug. At least it's not a concussion.

U18’s will create some recency bias. So i think he drops. This is the exact scenario why teams who have size bias where the scouts say “told ya so”

Won't return all year or all season? Not playing at all this year would be really bad for his development.

From what I've seen online, he's out for the playoffs, but don't know when he'll be actually be able to play, so don't know if he'll just miss the playoffs, but be ready for some of the spring tournaments.

I've figured out that I only want one of Bedard/Fantilli/Carlsson/Michkov

and one of them has to fall to 5th, but there is 0% chance they will be around at 8 or 9

I think BA and team take in order if available

Carlsson
Michkov
Sale
Dvorsky

I still think that Carlsson could fall to 5th, if another team has Michkov and Sale high, or Smith or for the love of pete some teams thinks that Reinbacher is a #1 Dman...there is always some team that will draft a D within the top 5

Not sure how Sale is a BA player if Smith isn’t. Sale reminds me of Wojtek Wolski.

I like Smith quite a bit, personally. Not as much as Benson. I think apart from being small, Benson is EVERYONE’S type of player.

What it looks like right now
and if Michkov is still on the board at pick 5

5th & 37th for 9th , 27th & 29th

Leaving us with 9, 15, 27, 29
...would like to draft Reinbacher and Stramel with 2 of those picks

No way I trade the #5 for #9, #27 & #29

Michkov is the best prospect after Bedard and likely to be a 50-goal scorer and I can imagine how good we would be if we could actually get 1 of Bedard/Fantilli/Carlsson/Michkov

Keller/Cooley/Schmaltz
(Bedard/Fantilli/Carlsson/Michkov)/Hayton/Guenther
Maccelli/McBain/Crouse

Best 3 lines the Coyotes have ever had, will be a fun team to watch.

Mcbain over Geekie? Or are we already writing Geekie off?

Nope, just forgot him
Will see what happens, but Lambert is looking like quite a bit better of a prospect right now. Kinda wishing that the Yotes kept their draft capital and drafted Lambert at #27 instead. I am a bit worried that the scouts fell in love with the size of the player, and overlooked some of his weaknesses.

The tank has come off the rails last night. No chance were picking 1 or 2 at this point. We don’t have Lady Luck. Just gotta hope our scouting is good enough to make up the difference.

Geekie was always going to be a project
