Funny how that troll comment to Bissonnette took off. Playing in Regina then get drafted by the Tempe Coyotes would be the ultimate troll.

I can't wait when we sign Cooley and have Maccelli and Guenther back in the lineup.

Five straight losses and I've been cheering for wins. This next one against the Sharks is one that I'd prefer we lose.

After that Chychrun can score a hat trick against the Sens on Thursday and Veggie can shut them out. Just don't beat the Sharks.

The odds and rules have changed over the years, but I found the past lottery results interesting nonetheless.

Since 1995 (28 lotteries), the team finishing last has won the lottery 11 times. Teams finishing 5th worst or better (where the Yotes sit now), have won seven times.

We currently have an 8.5% chance of winning.

Moving "up" to second worst doesn't help much with 13.5% odds.

The lottery is heavily weighted to finishing last with 25.5% odds.

Still, that means the last place team losses 3 out of 4 draws.

Ran tankathon, Coyotes at #7. These are off the board; Bedard, Fantilli, Carlsson, Michkov, Benson, and Smith. Who is your pick?

If u asked me at the start of season i would have likely said Yager.

Today its likely Dvorsky. I like that Barlow kid as well. Watching him closely these days.

I think Benson, Sale, Yager and Dvorsky make up a big part of the 3rd tier. I really hope we can pick top 5 and get someone from the 2nd tier but that's not how your lottery worked out. I guess Sale might be my pick because he seems like a higher ceiling kind of guy compared to Dvorsky and Yager.

So who would you take at #5 if the four obvious are taken? Still Sale? Or would you grab Smith or Benson?

would have to be between Barlow, Yager & Cristall and according to my list I'm taking Barlow. I'm sill trying to discern who I like between those three...but I give Barlow the nod because he's the bigger player with grit.

Top 4 would be best. I don't even care where we pick in there, all of those guys are franchise defining players. #5 goes to either Dvorsky or Sale I think. I wouldn't be unhappy with either of those, they're a step below, but barely. I'm really hoping Sale goes to Barrie. I think he'll quickly cement himself as #5 there if he does- OR he'll drop even further and we can pick him in the 2nd, which would be even better.

EDIT: He apparently chose to stay in EU, not sure why. He won't be getting many minutes, so hopefully he falls off some people's radar.

Five points in eight games with garbage linemates for a 17 year old is mighty impressive in the KHL.
Michkov could still go #2. Too bad he missed Worlds.
Edit- He just turned 18 a few weeks ago.

Up until WJC I thought Michkov still had a chance to be the best in this draft year. I think that's pretty doubtful now, but being the second best in this class is really something. It would suck to be at 4 with him still on the board. I think you have to take him though, he's far too talented.
